I started out with SMB.3 when I was about 5 years old. That grew to playing SMW, Tetris and Doctor Mario (SNES remake bundle pack), and Top Gear 2 with my dad. I also played a lot of DKC 1-3, UN Squadron, and LoZ:LttP till we got a PS2 and I was given the PS1. At which point I played a lot of the Spyro trilogy, Crash 1 and 2, Castlevania SotN, Resident Evil 3, and Megaman Legend 1 and 2 as well as whatever game I rented from the local Hollywood Video.

The one and only game of my childhood will always be Sonic Heroes, and I still play it. I'm quite a master. Sonic Heroes is really underestimated compared to SA2B etc.

I know this topic is old, but I just recently re-acquired a game I've long forgotten about (I vaguely remembered certain graphics over the years), and I'm glad it's on the PSN Store. Ever heard of Tomba?

That's the game name I had been struggling to remember since I was a child. It kept bugging me throughout my life, then when I was looking through eBay one day, it just happened to pop up in the results. I wasn't sure about getting the game, so I just pushed the idea aside for a while. It was when I watched Let's Play's of the game that I decided to get it off the PSN. I couldn't resist!

Oh yeah, I also grew up with Command & Conquer: Red Alert 2, C&C: Tiberium Sun + Firestorm, and Red Alert 1. I'm way better at RA2 now than I was as a kid (nearly godlike at that game, Grand Cannon ftw), but Tiberium Sun I still have a little bit of trouble doing well against the AI (which is notorious for being really difficult because it's an old RTS).

I also played Sonic Adventure Battle 2 as a kid, but not a whole lot. I never got past the stupid ♥♥♥ master emerald hunts. The chao garden was fun though C:

and then comes every single kirby game imaginable except for amazing mirror (I KNOW IT'S A GREAT SIN FOR ME) and avalanche (great blessing for me).

Aside from some educational games on my incredibly old and deceased computer, my first gaming experiences were with some arcade ports that my dad installed on it. It was what introduced me to Pac-Man, Galaxian, Dig Dug, and Pole Position. I sucked at Pole Position the most, and I didn't do too well with the others either, but it was a blast to play them.

I also got my first GBA around that time(which was pink), and the game I bought for it was the Pac Man Collection. Then I got a GameCube, and the game that came with it was Super Mario Sunshine. I had a blast with it, and while I don't think it has aged that well, I still think it's a good game.

comparing my 6 year old self playing melee super casually with my 17 year old self playing melee fairly competitively is literally comparing two different people, yikes
