something tells me you have never once played any other paper mario games at all. Why did nintendo have to replace badges with cards, or awesome party members with shapes? whhyyyyyyyy...

actually I played super paper mario all the way back in 2007, it was great

played it in 2012, was even better replaying it for the second time

I really should replay it, it's a great game (not sure why I haven't mentioned it a whole lot)

I'm not saying super paper mario is a bad game. It's a good game. What I am saying though is that I think that the previous 2 paper mario games were better because of the way that they worked.

Yeah, the system is very bare bones, but I still like it. I think they made it work personally.

I prefer SPM by like 95%.

I have to agree, just on the grounds that I've never seen this kind of RPG before, made a normal Mario platformer an RPG, while still staying a platformer. PM64 always bored me around the first/2nd dungeon or so. I haven't played TTYD yet so IDK about that one. I haven't played Sticker Star yet, and despite all the negative comments about the battle system and such, the concept intrigues me.

in terms of paper Mario games, Thousand year door is easily my favorite with super paper Mario next with sticker star trailing miles behind those two. Sticker star just has a way worse battle system and no god real plot in my case. one of the reasons I love thousand year door is because how you not only play as Mario but Bowser too.
