From what I've seen of the game (which is pretty much to the end) it might as well be called "Final Fantasy IV: Everything's happening just like before..." or "The Underground Waterway: Final Fantasy IV"

I gotta say, some mechanics were interesting...

I suppose I should clarify that I really wasn't all that into the original FFIV in the first place. Groundbreaking for its day maybe (especially off the heels of playing FFIII), but that game's really starting to show its age in really unpleasant ways.

From seeing the original again, the biggest gripe is that sooo many fights are like "hey there's this scripted thing, so you have a free battle or something". Happens too many times in many capacities. And tbh I didn't hate the pace of the plot, it kept going at a pace where I wasn't getting too bored. Although many items and menus are very much lacking in descriptions and stuff. (Also IDK if we're talking about the US FF2 or the FF4 J2A translation (Or whatever it was called, the orginal Japanese version but fan-translated)). Battles often had their own little twist, but I also hated how (story spoilers kinda):

Spoiler: show
the game fake-killed sooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo many characters, like there was 1 real death and then 7 fake deaths? Maybe more?

Oh yeah, I did some music for a game a friend of mine made (sadly didn't have time to do all of it). I highly recommend checking it out, it's called Morphobubbles. Very simple, surprisingly deep and well balanced.

Been recently getting back into a few games, including FEZ, Splatoon, and Command & Conquer seeing how cncnet.org has been a thing and I only found out about it recently.

I'm still enjoying it, really my only qualm is them not adding one or two more maps per game mode in the rotation so we aren't stuck with only a slice of all of the maps in the game.

Metal Gear Solid is the best movie I ever played.
