Oh, I forgot this topic existed. I haven't played Shuffle too much myself simply because these "Bejewled" kind of games just aren't for me. However yes, it is clear that the only reason they do the ♥♥♥♥ they do is so they can milk their consumers until the last drop. There would be no need for payment if grinding coins was faster. There would be no need for grinding coins if the catch rate was bigger (and didn't rely on luck). The catch rate wouldn't be an issue, if they made the design not luck based. And personally aside from the mega evolutions, I barely notice the other effects.

Eventually I'll most likely rant about one of my most hated videogame and experiences associated with it: Tibia.

@EDIT: Oh yeah, also about the new Exp. Share and Difficulty.

Pokémon Rumble world is another one I could talk about, but compared to Shuffle where I got really frustrated, Rumble World was just boring as all hell, so I haven't finished it, let alone played it in over a month.

Pokemon Rumble was fun at first but it's boring VERY quickly and the new game is no different.

I looked over my little brother's shoulder and saw him playing the newest Mystery Dungeon.

The final boss is a talking snowflake. No eyes, no mouth, nothing. It's just a giant ♥♥♥♥ snowflake.

What the ♥♥♥♥. Did they not consider Cryogonal? A ♥♥♥♥ snowflake? REALLY?

A.
♥♥♥♥.
Snowflake.

I'm done. Done.

Here we have 'Ike's Theme' from Brawl and SSB4:

And here we have 'Eternal Bond' from Fire Emblem: Radiant Dawn:

You might notice that they're the exact same song! What I don't like is how it's called Ike's Theme in Smash. Like, it's not even used in that sort of context in Radiant Dawn. It bugs me too much.

Dunno if I should start a rant about Paper Mario Sticker Star.

I'm too afraid that I might lose it while talking about the dark game of the Paper Mario series...

Same thing about Mario Party Island Tour.

Island Tour is not as bad as many people say it is.

As a standalone game it's actually pretty fun. As a Mario Party game it obviously disappoints (rip hudson)

I do enjoy Pokémon Rumble (haven't played Rumble Blast), but I can only play it for about 30 minutes max before I get bored. Pokémon Rumble World helped alleviate that in some ways, but the monetization system makes it really tedious, adding the need to grind stronger Pokémon to progress through the missions, let alone get lucky with landing on the correct location. Thankfully, it's incredibly easy to come across the in-game money at all times, though it still takes a while to build it up. Another thing that bugs me though is the game's presentation, as it's very lackluster, especially the animations. I understand that the Rumble series is known to be very basic (I mean it took the Pokémon models straight from My Pokémon Ranch), but the cutscenes pretty much showcase this game's budget. Shuffle was basic to begin with, but the reason I didn't complain about it was that weren't any cutscenes to make it look bad in the first place, and its simplicity was easily overlooked because of it. One thing that I failed to mention in my Shuffle rant that I might as well do now is that the music in both of these games is very bad or OK at best. Again, there's not much to expect from these low-budget cash-ins, but when the instrument samples are painful to listen to, and/or the melody is forgettable/awful, then I get annoyed. I will concede that Rumble World's music isn't as bad, but I think that some of it is due to the fact that sound effects will almost always be playing in a beat-'em-up like that, instead of how Shuffle is a puzzle game that requires some thought before making a move. If there's one that that I don't really mind it would be the... plot(?). Its execution is similar to that of the Mii Plaza games where they just throw a basic story for ♥♥♥♥ and giggles, so it doesn't really feel out of place as Miis take on the roles in the game.

So I guess I ended up ranting about that game anyways. Now to torture myself and play Mega Man Zero on Hard Mode while acquiring S ranks on all missions.
