Ex. Rare employees teamed up to create a spiritual successor to Banjo-Kazooie and Tooie. They currently have a Kickstarter going which has already met it's goal (It met it in like 40 minutes, so chances are you've probably heared of this).

And Grant Kirkhope + David Wise are teaming up to compose music for this.

Here's the link: https://www.kickstarter.com/projects/pl ... rare-vival

It's planned to come out for the PC, PS4, XB1 and WiiU.

Incredibly excited, however I still haven't backed this.

This is pretty much how I am with every Kickstarter.

Anyways, it's quite the dedication this team has put into the game already, since they made sure that they had some gameplay footage by the time the Kickstarter went up, as well as even stating that if they didn't get enough from Kickstarter (which was unlikely from the start) that they would still go through with making the game.

I really am excited for this new game. It just screams so much Banjo-Kazooie (especially the WIP track "Jungle World"), yet it also seems to have it's own identity, which I think the art style helps with that. I've only had a chance to play the original Banjo Kazooie game a couple times at a friend's, but I still loved what I managed to get through, so I can't wait to see what comes from this.

I also just looked at the backer rewards, and I didn't expect so many people to pledge enough to become an official voice actor in the game. Seriously, at least 15 people have pledged £3,375 for that. And what's with this?
A retro-themed physical package complete with classic box, SIGNED manual and an exclusive Yooka-Laylee N64 cartridge with built-in 64GB flash drive!

Is it a flash drive made to look like an N64 cartridge?

I saw this before you made the topic but was too engrossed with another game to make a topic about it ; n ;

I love Banjo Kazooie, but I can't say I like Banjo Tooie (mostly because what they did with bottles and Gruntilda). Good to see they're sort of restarting in a sense, though I hope they have more clothes on the chameleon. With Banjo you had the backpack and shorts, but with this chameleon I can't identify him.

To be honest, I found it weird that Yooka is a boy's name (maybe it's a language thing, in Polish every single gir's name ends in an A) and Laylee is a girl's name. And I also found it weird that Bat is a girl and the Chameleon is a boy, I would've guessed the other way around but whateves. About the clothes... if they added clothes to the chameleon, his invisibility ability (which will be in a game, let's be honest, what do you think of when you se a chameleon?) would be practically useless! Gaah! Nah, but seriously the Chameleon with no clothes looks a bit odd, but it's not terrible either. Sort of bland maybe.

Speaking of abilities, what do you guys think the duo will have? I'm thinking the split pads will come back as there are many abilities for the two separately. I hope the bat will have some sort of ultrasound echo ability. Maybe for dark caves? Though it would be kinda disappointing if that's all it would be used for.

I'm playing through Banjo Tooie currently and I can't say that I'm not enjoying it, but seeing beforehand how big this game is I find it kind of overwhelming to play it (this is the same feeling I had with Skyrim). I kinda miss Gruntilda's rhyming and the fact that she doesn't taunt you while you're walking through her lair, but it's also nothing that made Banjo Kazooie for me. Same for Bottles. I find Jam-Jars to be more fun than Bottles actually.

Seeing how this, Axiom Verge and Bloodstained are announced at the same time though, I will reduce my back to 10 pounds unfortunately (the poor life of a college student :cry: ).

Actually they could just make the clothes camouflage with the skin, it wouldn't really ruin it.

character design is simple and might be ubiquitous, Game Ruined.

if i had infinite virtual reality online cybermoney i'd probably get this after rayman legends/origins in terms of platformers
