Puzzle and Dragons
I've been playing this game for 2 years so it's time to share my findings with everybody in the universe on this game.
Puzzles and Dragons is a mobile game that got super huge in Japan and has a decent Western following. Think of it kind of like Pokemon mixed with Bejeweled with a twist. You collect monsters of various type and power, put together a team based on what you collect, and fight through dungeons to get better rewards and monsters. The twist behind the match-3 game is that you can move an orb anywhere on the board for a limited time. As you move the orb it shifts everything around, and so you get some interesting scenarios where you want to make as many combos as possible.
Gameplay video:
Of course this guy is like crazy good at the game, this game is actually a lot harder than it seems. The game has a huge difficulty curve and you'll start struggling very early if you don't plan and read up.
Why play it? The game can be very rewarding for all that grind, plus with the huge variety of monsters (upwards of 2k), there are a lot of options with variety and such. The game is constantly getting updates and there's always new content out. The game seems like a typical mobile game with in-app purchases and such, but the developers are very nice and give the premium currency out for free, so most people don't pay a single dime.
