So, as you guys may know I'm a huuge fan of video game music, and I think most people over here love it too.

So start sharing! I'm really curious to see your favorites.

Gonna start sharing some NES music I really really love:

Dr. Wily Stages 3 & 4 - Mega Man 3
Though everybody loves Wily 1 & 2 from MM2, this one holds a special place in my heart, as it's actually the very first MM game I've played.

Wicked Child - Castlevania
Though it's kinda short, it just sounds amazing. So freakin catchy!

Kraid's Lair - Metroid
That song is amazing, that atmosphere really is one of the best on the NES.

So yeah, share yours below

Silver Will - Trails in the Sky
All the music in this game and its sequel are fantastic, but this is a stand-out for me. It's so intense and filled with energy, perfect for the boss battles it plays over. In the sequel there's a remix with Japanese vocals that makes it even more awesome.

The Landing - Final Fantasy VIII
You really only get the full feel of this song while playing the game, in the first cutscene it plays. People might rail on the game for wacko plot and its junctioning system, but its music is fantastic, and that's why it's my favorite Final Fantasy next to 6.

Battle Hymn of the Soul - Persona 3
This song may not be quite as intense as the previous two songs, but it's still an amazing theme. Like The Landing, it gradually builds up and then BAM, hits you full force.

Obligatory

Undertale [possible spoilers. play the damn game]
Determination (remix album): Red side (boss battles, more metal-y) / Blue side (background music, more electronic/ambient)

Journey
It's been a while since I last played this, but it's definitely worth your two cents.

There's also the Majora's Mask remixes from Theophany.

Videogame music? I have a whole lot to share here. That's like the next thing in music I listen to besides '80s music. But I'll try not to go overboard with the list.

I'll just start off with PS1 games as that's my nostalgic console. Of course these aren't all but I'll post just a few.
Crash Bandicoot 2: Cortex Strikes Back - The Eel Deal/Sewer or Later/Hangin' Out
Crash Bandicoot 2: Cortex Strikes Back - Road to Ruins/Ruination
Crash Bandicoot 2: Cortex Strikes Back: Rock It/Pack Attack
Crash Bandicoot: Warped! - Future Frenzy/Gone Tomorrow
Crash Bandicoot: Warped! - Medieval Bonus Round
Spyro the Dragon 2: Ripto's Rage - Metropolis
Spyro the Dragon 3: Year of the Dragon - Frozen Altars
Spyro the Dragon 3: Year of the Dragon - Fireworks Factory
Ape Escape - Crumbling Castle
Ape Escape - TV Tower

Since you guys posted a few tracks from FF VIII, I'll post a few too.
Glad to see there's still love for FF VIII... Sure, the draw system is repetitive, but the music is definitely awesome. That epic moment you hear that epic boss theme! Here's a few of my favorite tracks from that game:
Final Fantasy VIII - Force Your Way
Final Fantasy VIII - Man with the Machine Gun
Final Fantasy VIII - Fisherman's Horizon

I've got so much more to share, like music from the first Crash Bandicoot game, Crash Team Racing, other tracks from the games already posted above, several other PS1 classics and games of other consoles from the third to sixth generations... But that'll be too long, I guess.

I know this is kinda self advertising but I've made some works for a game in beta (CC Survival, some of you may have noticed the topic I made about it), and just a few months ago finished the Credits theme for it.

Playlist is here

As for my personal favorite song though, this is my favorite VGM track of all time.

Posting 3 more ost:

Donkey Kong Country: Tropical Freeze
Oh gosh, this soundtrack is marvelous; almost perfect even. David Wise aka, the same guy who did the soundtrack for Battletoads and DKC2 (Which btw, also has one of the greatest soundtracks ever). It's seriously one of the greatest soundracks of recent story. My personal favorites from this one being Wing Ding and Amiss Abyss.

Xenoblade Chronicles X
hurrr durr of cours yuri would put this here
Welp. It's just beyond me how people can call this ost bad. I mean, it's one of the few that I've heard that did vocals well. Not the lyrics though, mind you :p
But hearing Wir Fliegen for the first time when activating overdrive was just delightful, and that song when you enter the lifehold core kept my jaw open for a long, long time. Besides these two, Uncontrollable and D91M/Requiem are also two favorites of mine.

Bravely Default Flying Fairy
This soundtrack gives me goosebumps everytime I hear it. It's just... Magical in a way. The feels it provokes are beyond words. It just feels so heroic and can emphasise really well the emotional moments. Really, you'll only understand what I mean once you hear it. My personal favorites from this one are Under the Hollow Moon and Serpent Eating the Ground. They just literally scream emotion. Were these not enough? Well, if World of Scattering Flowers doesn't make you cry, then you sir, have no heart.
