But it seems while in stasis test subjects do not age.
This could mean back when GLaDOS effed up all of Aperture Science with neurotoxine, she still knew Chell was her daughter, and put her in stasis first so she survives, but then forgot about her and that she is her daughter.

I thought someone would pick on the stasis thing. I thought about it, but it doesn't explain the BYDTWD. If that happened, she would still be a child. Somewhere along the timeline it gets messed up.

Also, the videos have no canonical relevance to the story and should not be viewed like they are. Chell and Cave did not live at the same time.

But there's another theory. The real Chell is dead, too, and the child of Cave and CarolaDOS. The Chell we are playing is a clone.

What if... Just maybe, but what if Caroline and Ratman are her parents? He did work there, and you do remember the bring-your-daughter-to-work day thing. Plus, Caroline and Cave were Brother and Sister. The first time you hear cave, he says "And that eager voice you heard is my sister Caroline." The Ratman comic shows that he was willing to give up his life to turn something on... That would let Chell sleep for an amount of time. Who knows why, but he might have done it to give his daughter a chance for freedom in the future. More into it, Caroline probably was given infinite life 1-5 years, or maybe even a few months before Chell started testing. Either way, it was recent. It made Caroline lose her memory, with only one thought to subsitute... Testing. When Ratman was messing around with those controls, he probably set a robot to go get Chell, badly injured, to the room you wake up in in Portal 2. She doesnt age during the 200 year rest and finally wakes up in Portal 2. Just a very very, VERY supported idea.
