Should story-tellers get medals for their efforts?

Poll ended at December 5th, 2009, 4:54 am

Yes, they should be recognized for their creativity in the stories and they deserve it.

No, they should do it just for the sake of entertaining others, and you should'nt get a medal for that.

Best story-telling awards?

Postby Blablob » November 28th, 2009, 4:54 am

Lately I've noticed that there has been a new feature on Runouw.com that gives medals (or has it always been there?) Anyway, with all these stories being made, I feel the best of them deserve some kind of award AKA a medal. I don't think this just because I have made a story, but because I feel these people deserve recognition for their efforts. So, instead of just letting a mod have a word in and that's the end of it, I've made a poll. The poll will run for a week, and then the mod can have the final word.

You mispelled shouldn't in the poll, but oh well. But I think the better ones deserve some reward, not an award for doing a story, but a good story. So this includes, brandon, MIC, you...Avo........*keeps counting*

Ignore this post. It is simply to keep the topic from getting lost.

Well, it isn't like a 1-month bump or anything like that; just a few days. No harm done, just trying to keep the poll above the sea of posts.

You don't get nothing.

You gain experience.Critique. Fixes. a medal is simply a maternal object that rewards a person with a sense of accomplishment, it does nothing.

Okay, someone shoot me for that.

THE CREED: Nothing is True. Everything is Permitted.
"...That's rather cynical."

"It would be if it were doctrine, but it is merely an observation of the nature of reality.
To say that Nothing is True is to realize that the foundations of society are fragile, and that we must be the shephards of our own civilization.
To say that Everything is Permitted is to understand that we are the architects of our actions, and that we must live with the consequences, whether glorious...or tragic."
-Ezio Auditore da Firenze explaining the Creed, 1514, Masayaf.

Its a good idea, but it would convince people to write even MORE stories.
