Screw around with your Controller until you manage to fix it, if you had the time, run back, do a wall jump, and jump even higher than you could before, over Bowser, and with the axe, tada!!!! and for your reward mario....
It looks like peach from the back, until the person turns around......

Luigi:I'm sorry Mario, but Peach is in another castle.
Mario:DAMNIT!!!!!!!!

Alternative.

As said before, die, except, don't go for a fire flower, take a Roto-Disc and use it to hit bowser with, or at least go for a star.

Last Alternative

Grab a hammer lying next to you, throw it at the Fireball, grab another hammer and unlatch yourself from the bridge and throw it at the rope as you jump over the bridge.

I would:

1. Pause the game.
2. Unplug the controller from the Nintendo system.
3. Plug Player 2's controller into the first slot.
4. Unpause the game.
5. Jump over the fireball, jump over Bowser, and slam that axe!

6. ...Call Nintendo support and complain about how I can't get the run and jump buttons unstuck on one of my controllers. >:(

I think this post deserves to win.

WAIT TO GO!

But, it isn't my choice. It's Aznchau4ever's choice, and i don't know if he's playing anymore.

Hey, thanks! Wait... does this mean I have to think of one now? !#$%.

Hm...

Okay, you're sliding down the Princess's secret slide, like you've done so many times. (You're trying to get that stupid 21-second star or something.) As you're rounding the second turn and entering the steep decline, you see the road ahead of you cuts off. Someone has been hacking with your game! And if you don't act fast, you're going to fall off the end of the road into oblivion.

...And you still wanna get to the end of the slide in 21 seconds or less. What do you do?

Right at the end fart.
The recoil sends you flying in the air, where you meet up with a P-Balloon and you float to the end, where you find you have 21,01 seconds. DAMN IT

Possibility 2:
Die, save, undo hack, load, win.

i jump off the road and land in the end,
POSSIBILITY 2: H44x the game, change gravity to 0, freeze the time, and go to the end.

I would pause the game, and call the Nintendo people that my game has been hacked, then they would fix it, come to my house, and fix the game (It's still paused) then they leave, and I complete without having to jump in exactly 18 seconds.

I insert a hack tracker into the game while it is paused, go to the source, pull out a P90/SPAS 12, point it at the hacker and tell him- "FIX MY GAME OR IMA SQUEEZE IT NOOB!" He fixes my game, and I send him on his way to prison, I win the game.

Yay man!
Thanks a so much for fixing my game!

THE CREED: Nothing is True. Everything is Permitted.
"...That's rather cynical."

"It would be if it were doctrine, but it is merely an observation of the nature of reality.
To say that Nothing is True is to realize that the foundations of society are fragile, and that we must be the shephards of our own civilization.
To say that Everything is Permitted is to understand that we are the architects of our actions, and that we must live with the consequences, whether glorious...or tragic."
-Ezio Auditore da Firenze explaining the Creed, 1514, Masayaf.
