Short version, You are being WAY too hard on yourself, sir. And, really, you shouldn't be expecting a backlash from everything you do. The world is not that harsh, even at its worst. Frankly, most people are too distracted by their own problems to go and hunt down other people for perceived sleights, and even if you do cross the radar the few trolls out there who HAVE dedicated their lives to making other people miserable, it's really only the blowhard nonsense of someone who simply needs a hug.

Now I'm late, but thanks. Sometimes I need more open space, or thinking space. I've been using all of it on negativity, paranoia, etc, and it's getting really cramped in here. Too cramped. I can't get out.

I just want to say hello

I realized I've never stopped to think about all the time I stayed in this site.

I know it's not the anniversary of when I joined or anything but, six years man. I mean if you're only gonna count the time I spent with the community itself then you get only 3 years, but it's actually been 6 years since I made this account.

What does this mean? I still cannot realize. After all, believe it or not, Runouw was pretty much an essential part of my life. I met new people. I had talks with people. I trained my English, which is almost 100% these days, and the reason was me seeing many mindful discussions everywhere, be it in here or in the chat. And the craziest of it all is that I still can't believe how it is possible for me to actually care about someone that I don't even know. But apparently I do.

You guys are just different you know? Someday out of curiosity I decided to look into other communities and forums, and in most of them I found nothing else, apart from the actual center topic of them. Like SM63 once was to this. But you basically transcended that. You give so much support, and it does get across whatever flawed means of communication we all rely on.

I can't thank you all enough for this. It helped me at some periods in my life I'd never think of going through. 2017 specially was an important year for me. It basically feels like a catharsis.

It's been a pleasure interacting with you. If one thing is to be certain is that I really learned to be less judging of people, not just online but IRL in general. So many different people from different parts of the globe, this is something special.

However, I think it's time that I said a definite goodbye. I feel the real golden age for this has passed by, and the discussions don't interest me anymore. And I just feel like I have nothing else left me for here. This is basically me just trying to move on with things.

Of course I'll keep in touch with some of you. You probably know if you're one of these people. But for the others, it's been a pleasure, and I wish all the best for you in this new year.

Soo yeah. I don't really have another way of saying this. I hope I see you when the universe's entropy reaches its maximum point and all of our atoms reach zero Kelvin.

It was nice knowing you FF. I sort of left too really but never made an official goodbye seeing as I knew I'd want to come back occasionally and catch up with people. I think that will always be the way with me. But I'm glad you've found what works for you.


Runouw has also been a huge part of my life, honestly some if not all the friends I made here I consider friends for life even if we might not stay in touch for life. It really is like a family that was there through the best and worst of times. To reflect back to my 2011 holiday in Germany and all I could think about was being a level mod lol

Even being on the mobile site right now just gives me huge nostalgia to when I would sneak on my phone in 2012 using awful 2G internet during school when I wasn't supposed to have my phone out :')

Good times. And I honestly still appreciate everyone here.
