Same here. The only issue I had was attempting to play games right after the upgrade since I thought that my software installed W10 drivers already. Good going, me.

Some games were virtually unplayable for me at first because Windows capped the amount of RAM available to 1/8 of what it should've been.

I've had a fair share of bluescreens on XP. Vista and 7, none. I had a single bluescreen during my entire time using windows 8. Haven't any at all yet on 10.

The only problems I've had with it are that a) you have to reinstall a lot of your drivers, and b) the default settings are really weird. But both of those are easily fixed. Overall, I'd say it's far better than 8. I haven't used 7 in a while, so I can't say much with regards to that, but overall 10 is definitely worth the upgrade.

Edge still isn't a good browser though

At least it's better than the old IE?

It's an okay browser. I wouldn't say it's bad but Chrome and Firefox are still dominant.

Its appearance is cleaner and it runs a little more smoothly than IE was/did, but as far as I can tell, the interface itself is nearly unchanged. Plus, it still lacks the same level of extension/plugin/theme support that Chrome and Firefox have. It seems like MS made an effort to clean it up, and I don't really care if you guys use it or not, but I can't realistically see it competing with other browsers at this point. Please accept the peaceful and nonthreatening rise of Google.

So this is something that happened when I woke up my computer today:
Spoiler: show
Image

If you can't really tell what's wrong, I cannot view my desktop. At all. Even when I minimize my windows, I either see only the background, or it goes straight to the Start Menu as shown in the picture. There's also this arrow button that takes me back to the previous window. I'm going to be very frank; this is incredibly dumb. For someone that's used to how it was like Windows 7, the version I've been familiar with for years now, it's so counterproductive that my efficiency on browsing stuff on this computer has practically been halved.

Is there some way I can revert to the old style? Because I cannot find a way to change this. I tried checking that link BT provided earlier, but now the tab that says "Start Menu" is gone.

EDIT: FFS I somehow had Tablet Mode on.

ChaosYoshi shouts as he walks out of the room.

How the hell did that happen?! I didn't even touch the notifications menu! What? Was I sleep-typing in the middle of the night? Why doesn't this even recognize that it's not a freaking tablet?!Why is it even in the notifications menu in the first place?!

I tried it out this week, for awhile it was ok but for some reason my computer's been running obnoxiously slow. I reverted to 8.1 and it seems to have fixed it. Overall the look of the upgrade is great in my opinion but so far it's been a lot more sluggish compared to my experience with 8.1.

A lot of the technical stuff behind 10 has me a bit agitated though, I finally got my ps3 controller to work correctly a few months ago and the update to windows 10 broke that and it seems I can't get it working again. As mentioned already, the speed of the OS has been dropping recently to the point where it's unbearable to use and I'm not sure why, might be my computer but I can't really tell what's wrong.

All in all at the start I really enjoyed windows 10, but I think due to recent performance issues I'll just stick with 8.1.

So after a while, turns out all this W10 thing is literraly just Windows 8, added with a fancier interface, despite some parts are awfully impractic, added the option to have either a start bar or menu (thank god) and added Cortana. Nothing lost, little gained so far. Got some Nvidia drivers so my screen is fixed and doesn't look like complete schite.

So far it's not bad, I can still play Fortress Forever and Adventure Capitalist, so I'm set (till I get my new CPU damnit). After 2 updates, edge works smoother, that means no random refreshes and no elements of the page disappearning and reappearning randomly, and works pretty fast. Still lacks support of extensions (I cannot live without Adblocker sorry I'm not a good guy and Stylish plugin), so until that Firefox stays here. Interface of Edge kinda reminded me of the chrome one, simple at sight, and a bit discouragning when going into settings "ugh, you sure you don't want bing/google?", but nothing bad anyway.

Cortana is ok, don't use it much (read: at all), but still changed my location to US to have it avaible.

Overral ratting 7~8/10 slight changes from 8, still hoping for it to inspire more from Windows 7 tsktsktsk.
