@bog, that was pretty much my overall reaction to it. Though I haven't tried playing many games yet (partly because I don't have much reason to), so I can't say much about those.

I'm happy about the way they rolled out this update, for sure. Nobody had to go to the store or anything and buy it. It was just a simple download and install (though it did uninstall a bunch of drivers for some reason). I hope they continue to do stuff like this, and maybe try to keep future updates confined to just updates of win10, because as a culmination of all of the past windows OSes, this has turned out really well, I think. Eventually, there's probably going to be reason to make another full OS, but continuous, fluid updates would be great until that happens (hopefully a fair amount longer than the 3 or fewer years that have been between recent Windows releases).

I don't get what it doesn't have that windows 7 had.

I'm pretty sure Bryce said it was basically Windows 7 but with some stuff moved around and the style looked a little different

Win8 --> win10 was probably a more drastic change than win7 --> win10

Just confirming that what OJ said about my opinion is pretty true. The majority of what I use my computer for remains fairly unchanged. The real reason I'd recommend upgrading from 7 to 10 is the fact that Windows 7 is losing support.

Minesweeper and solitaire.

Overall seemed way better polished and way logically to surf around the interface than on 8 and 10 (I think I complained about the interface and the log on screen long enough in this post). Not to mention that a lot of my old programs that run on 7 didn't quite like 8, about 10 I'm not sure, already stopped used them, but as bam said main reason I upgraded is that 7 is already loosing support.

Also remember the thing about w8 not shutting down properly that ven mentioned? It's back.

Nothing much regarding the performance, for now. Either that, either I'm used long enough with mediocre performance to give a damn about slight changes.

Am I the only one without performance drops? It seems everything here is fine.

Minesweeper is in the Windows Store for free :) Solitaire and Minesweeper contain ads though, but don't worry, it's just the normal "low-privacy-risk" ads on Android (according to Clueful).

Windows 10 is designed for Windows 7 users LOL

Gonna agree with this:

Just sayin' this because I set up Rainmeter and reached a design I can go with as my desktop: For Rainmeter to be fully utilised, I had to hide the taskbar. To do this, I used a free app called Taskbar Magic (search it for yourself, tested by me) to hide the taskbar completely. But how will I switch apps? I'm pretty sure you know how: Alt+Tab. Who didn't know can forget the taskbar now.

Can't you just tick the "auto-hide" box in the taskbar properties?

I haven't had any performance drops, either... if anything, it improved after upgrading.

Actually, Auto-hide is required for it to work, yahaha.
Still in need of an icon dock to reduce the "skin overload" (for some users in osu!), but the one I found was like "you need Rainmeter 3.3.0"
I think if I find a good dock ready for Rainmeter 3.2.1, I think Taskbar Magic will be unneeded till a new setup is in the works. Which potentially means the taskbar will be back to work.
