Let me tell you something: I lied about some things, but I don't remember everything about it. The thing is that when I'm depressed I don't really think straight.

Well, this weekend was awesome. ...Maybe that was an exaggeration, but Miiverse taught me that there are so many people out there that are nice - not to say that you guys aren't nice! But the thing is that Miiverse obviously has a bigger ACTIVE userbase, so seeing all those good people really helped. Not only that, but I finally experienced the feeling of confidence again after so long. I went and made a VERY bold level (3, actually) on Super Mario Maker, and guess what, guys? I didn't gain any stars from it yet, but I figured something out: You guys SERIOUSLY were trying to help me. So...

I actually went and paid attention to the game's 10 key points on designing, and... I'm... not doing bad at all. I AM putting too much effort into my levels, but, really, I've taken most, if not everything else, into consideration before whenever making levels.


Yeah, nobody will like EVERYTHING, plus people typically have different tastes or points of view, so there're gonna be players who rate my levels lower, maybe even with one star. Same with everybody else's levels. It doesn't mean I'm doing bad, but there really is always something to improve on, which is why I have feedback. As long as it's constructive, everybody should be cool, so I had no good reason to bash on it.


Manipulation is an awful thing. Nobody likes it, and neither do I. The reason why I still did it, I'm not exactly sure myself. I suspect it was out of my depression, but sometimes it almost feels like I have a split personality, I dunno. Probably not?


So here's something I have to say:

I'm very sorry for what I put you guys through. You have every right not to forgive me, but I hope we can start afresh.
From now on, can we please understand that, inside, I never actually intended any of what I did? I don't actually believe I'm a bad person, but I just lose my cool too easily, ESPECIALLY under depression. Honestly, I'm kind of embarrassed having to look through all those posts, so could somebody please help go through the forums and delete anything stupid I posted? Thanks. : )

Heyyyyy, great to have you back :D Glad you're figuring everything out, we missed you too. And of course we forgive you, why wouldn't we? Everyone makes mistakes, and if you just want to leave the past in the past, that's fine by me (and I assume everyone else, too).

It was pretty easy to tell the difference between when you were OK and when you weren't really thinking straight, so we know you're a pretty good guy.

Some advice for you (and I don't know if you know this, but I'm just making sure) - if you want to learn some more stuff on designing, play some highly-rated or popular levels and take inspiration from them. Never considering it "stealing" unless you're directly copy-pasting what they've done into your levels.

Also, I actually have played through many of the popular levels, and I understand, to an extent, what could help me get more stars, but my problem is that I'm too uncomfortable to leave behind the style I used on my currently-uploaded levels. ...And my style seems to make all my levels a cluster ♥♥♥♥.
