Lemme tell you a story about running.

It was a dark and stormy night outside of 6th grade. Math class just ended. Our next class is Gym.
I hated Gym. I always get tired after every session of Gym. I would rather sit on my fat butt and watch TV than exercise.

You wanna know why I hate Gym? Here's why...

The FitnessGramâ„¢ Pacer Test is a multistage aerobic capacity test that progressively gets more difficult as it continues. The 20 meter pacer test will begin in 30 seconds. Line up at the start. The running speed starts slowly, but gets faster each minute after you hear this signal. [beep] A single lap should be completed each time you hear this sound. [ding] Remember to run in a straight line, and run as long as possible. The second time you fail to complete a lap before the sound, your test is over. The test will begin on the word start. On your mark, get ready, start.

I decided to never run again.

*THE END

Ugh, this is all too similar to the circuit training we had to do. Instead of laps we had to run backwards and forwards - which just ended up being a mess as everybody collided with each other. It doesn't measure anything other than your stamina.

Ahhhhh I remember this. We just call it the beep test. It's absolute hell. Luckily, after i finished primary school I was never made to do it again.

I'm actually the slowest person in my Gym class. Not because of anything but me being a slow person in general, but I always lose on lap 13/14. Then there are people that train for stuff like this and make it to the 60s, the worst part was that the coaches took grades on it too. So if you aren't a fast runner, you fail the class because they don't take many other grades.

yes I'm aware that this post was made as a joke
Might be ready in a bit.

It seems like it gets better as you get older for the most part. In middle school (5th-8th grade), I could hardly break 20, and half the class was right there with me, aside from the people who were already in sports year round and were pushing triple digits. In my last gym class of the semester, though, everyone could at least manage 40 or so, and I somehow got to 80, which I would have never even imagined a couple years ago--hardly could believe it either because I don't really run or anything very much outside of that class anyway, and I kind of collapsed on the floor after. But needless to say there were people who went for way longer. Iunno.

(Also, it's a meme, guys)
