Prices are so high for everything these days.
Why can't they be low, more people would buy and they would get money faster.
*BAP!* Duh!
*A bap is when you smack someone elses or your forehead.
*Super Bap hurts a lot...

Ah, if only it were so simple!
Unfortunately, it's not quite as easy as "lowering the prices so that people would buy more". Did you know that manufacturers have to use money to make those products? If you sell a product for less money than you put into it, no matter how many items people buy, you will lose money! They must make a PROFIT.
I bet there are so many more factors going into this, but alas, the business world is a complicated one. o_O I'm afraid we're just going to have to put up with these high prices, hehe. : D

And the prices will simply get higher. My parents tell me stories of things they had that cost a penny that would cost 50 cents now days. So in about 20 years, what is 50 cents to us will be $5 or something close to that.

Yup, its all about the supply and demand. What salespeople and the big wigs up there do is find the point where people will be able to buy their product, but still break even, or make profit. I mean, if things were lowered, the value of the dollar would then be lowered, and thus inflation would increase. x.x Its all about blah blah blah, inflations and such are what led to depressions and stock market drops.

So lets say you make a videogame. You need the right equipment to make it, such as a certain quality of your computer, or a special CD that downloads into your computer. Lets say that costs $200. But then lets say you wanna sell your videogame. In order to make anything off of it, you will have to sell it for anything more than $200. Or else you will lose money AND your game.

This is to do with the Credit Crunch or recession. We wait until everything's back to normal.

MONEY
It was to give some worthless item you made because you didn't have a goat to trade and to restrain what people want, but it just ended up making things a hell of a lot worse.

I see what you mean, but the way you phrased it makes no sense at all. If a game costs you $200 to make, you're not gonna sell that game at more than $200(unless you were to sell just one, which is highly improbable for videogames). That would be the biggest rip-off in the history of all mankind! To put a better example, if a super-awesome videogame like Brawl costs...let's say...$2,000,000 dollars to make, you're obviously not gonna sell the videogame for 2 million dollars. You're gonna sell tons of copies at $49.99 or whatever. See the error?
But I still understand what you were trying to say, and just wanted to clear this up. Also, what's the point of this topic? Recession? Or rising costs? (Still, we all know about all this anyway)
