Sequels - Suck

I dunno... Harry Potter Movies are pretty badly made... First one was the best. Then it sort of just goes down down down doooooown. I haven't watched the Half Blood Prince and they are getting a little bit better, but they are NOTHING compared to the books. Like... So bad, that the books seem amazing, which they are only decent. >_>

FIRST WAS THE BEST? WHAT!?!?

I can't STAND watching the first one. Teenager Harry is bad enough, frankly. Seeing a much younger and... god, I didn't think this was even possible, but: an even MORE inexperienced and irritating actor just makes me cringe! AHHH!

Anyway, as you can tell, I really dislike Harry Potter.

Though like I said, yes, a majority of sequels are just horrible. Predator two was not nearly as good as the first, frankly.

I'd say the Half-Blood Prince is by far the best one. It may even count as a movie.

Not all sequels suck, it's just less effort is put into them.

Half-Blood Prince is gorgeously made. Beautiful cinematography, one of the best films I've seen in that regard. But everything else sucked. Half-Blood Prince is certainly not the best of the series. Key information in the book is left out, and the romances I thought were poorly developed. The ending battle sucked, because there was no battle, unlike in the book. I could go on. Yessir, Harry Potter is a prime example of sucky sequels.

I wrote TRC2, and in my opinion I wrote better there than in 1. See, Sequels have more experience behind them than originals.

Some writers get lazy after the first one, thinking "Hey! That turned out great! Let's do anotther! It'll work!" then they make a bomb.
That's my honest opinion.

That's exactly how they are, TBG. If the first movie is successful, they seem to enter a state of mind where they believe now that everyone loves the characters, anything they do would be deemed funny. They think that no matter how bad it is, people are still going to watch it anyway, seeing as they all enjoyed the first.

It reminds me of the new Simpsons. I wish it'd just stop. I actually cringe when I see/hear the lame jokes they tend to use. It's very, very rare for me to actually chuckle at something in the new episodes. The old Simpsons episodes on the other hand are just wonderful! I can see repeats after repeats and still laugh my head off at certain scenes! The poor animation just added to the comedy at times, which is another reason I dislike the new Simpsons. Hehehe....
