Essentially, Christians want to achieve heaven - which they see as an edenic ideal for believers. In Biblical tradition, Eden was a man and a woman - so there isn't any place for homosexuality in the traditional "heaven." As whatever has no place in "heaven" is classified as sin, homosexuality is seen as a sin by all Edenic religions, like Islam.

Bump. Not necessarily the most on topic thing on the world but it's a song I want to post about because it's awesome and it has great meaning to it.

"No freedom till we're equal."

also just so I can, we have 14 states that legalize gay marriage, New Joisey being the latest one.

I'm bringing this up because it is very likely to happen. Because it is happening today with homosexuals.

Don't believe me? Okay. So homosexuals are killing themselves because they feel bored. So being different means nothing.
This WILL happen, and as MoD has stated in his FB feed, LBGT groups have members who are anti-hetero, even prejudice.

I'm posting this to allow you guys to broaden your mind. Think not just on the homosexual side, but on sexuality as a whole, before you open your mouth to speak.

Shad out.

...Shad, I love you man... but this is stupid. Stupid, stupid, stupid, stupid.

First off, take your words out of my mouth please. I never said gay people were going to rise up against straight people. That's straight up narrowminded WBC propaganda. In fact, the LGBT community is more cannibalistic than anything.

"Flaiming" gay people hate "Straight" gay people, and vice versa, because they don't act like they think gay people should. Gay people who just go about being people think that the "flaming ones" are embarrassing and the feminine, flamboyant gay guys think the straight ones are pressuring them to be who they're not and they aren't embracing being gay. And a lot of gay people hate the little cousins of it; bisexual, pansexual, etc, because they have to argue that being gay is a choice and they think we chose. That's where I've gotten the most hate for both sides, because people think that I choose which gender I like, when in reality I am attracted to all types.

And of course some gay people, like the ones I ranted about on Facebook, will be discriminatory, because they already are. There are racist, sexist, bigoted gay people out there. Those ones who saw a video and went on giant tangents about how fat people ruin America. Colton Cumbie, who went on Survivor, said racist comments, voted a black man out while calling him ghetto trash and telling him to get a real job (he was a former soldier turned comedian), threatening to throw a woman into a fire, and calling a little person an Oompa-Loompah, and as an added bonus, told me my bisexuality was wrong and that I was making life harder for him. Gay people aren't going to be discriminatory towards straight people because they're straight. They're going to be discriminatory because they're already bigoted.

There will be people in the LGBT community who are angry at straight people, but it's understandable. They've been scarred from experiences they've had with straight people, whether via the church, school, or just people themselves. Some have gotten the ♥♥♥♥ beaten out of them, many have been mocked, shunned, and otherwise treated awfully because of that. Some have even killed themselves because of all of the hatred being overwhelming, not just because they were ♥♥♥♥ bored. It is never that easy, and I'll never ever hear anyone say otherwise.

After that happens, then I understand why they would be biased against straight people. And yes, there are people who exist that genuinely discriminate against the majority for little reason, just like the widespread vice-versa. I acknowledge that racism, sexism, homophobia, etc. exist, but I also acknowledge that little bits are reflected back at them. There are a handful of incidents of ways that men, white people, straight people, etc. suffer from discrimination, judgment, and inequality. I think those should be fixed as we continue to make things equal for others. I hate that men are all perceived as these horny, violent ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ that can't possibly ever be raped or violently assaulted by their girlfriends cause they're always the victim. However, the fact of the matter is that while men are raped and that can't be ignored, far more women will be attacked and raped by men, so that's why the focus is on them. Likewise, far more gay people will be attacked for their sexuality than straight people, and far more have. Have you seen Russia lately? It's goddamn open season on there.

I'll be the first to say that many movements sicken me, including my own. I hate how movements are so focused on song lyrics and euphemisms that it can't quite get its head out of its ♥♥♥ to focus on really big issues. I hate how some activists think that the fact that they are the minority means that they are right about everything and if anyone dares to argue they're bigots. I hate it when we get tangled up in such a web of what's-okay-to-say and what's-not that it obscures the truth because we just want to be damn right about everything. I hate how movements focus on victory and dominance, not unity and equity. However, behind these ♥♥♥♥ movements are some really amazing people, who aren't planning on taking over the nation, painting it bright pink, and forcing every man to ♥♥♥♥ another dude in the ♥♥♥. We're working for equity, and our movements are a mess, but our cause is still pure. Just because a few freaks say they want to corral all the straight people and put them behind fences (which a few straight freaks want to do to gay people) doesn't mean they speak for our cause or that it's our plan. Those people are just ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥.

TL;dr, saying that a minority will rise up against a majority and force it to be their ♥♥♥♥♥ is narrowminded, borderline-bigoted speak spoken by people who are desperate to not lose their power, not a bright young man with a lot of good points to make like you. Movements can suck, individual outstanders can suck, but that's true for any side, really.

I just finished watching that vid (Shad's vid)

It's quite shocking that such cruelty can exist. Such hate. Such... all of that crap. I find it hard to believe that a person would want to hurt another one so bad just because. Discrimination... bullying... why do such things exist?

...I just can't comprehend it...

That crap applies not only to gay people being bullied, but to anyone who gets bullied. Personally, I've never encountered such cases... but I know it happens. It's been on the news more than once...

I mean... just the fact that, in that video for example, they are willing to downright murder someone just beccause of being an hetero. Why...

I've asked myself plenty of times where could such evil come from. I can't really understand how someone could find joy in other people's suffering. How someone could actively feel hatred for someone just because it's a girl, or gay, or black, or poor, or some other random stupid reason.

I can't feel like that. I can't really hate someone that much. I don't understand why would someone else do...

I think I once said, there's no excuse for bullying. Absolutely no excuse. Saturday morning cartoon excuses like that person's being bullied too? Has family issues or whatever? That's ♥♥♥♥. Those who bully know they're doing something wrong. They're actively hurting a person psychologically and physically. This stuff leads to freaking suicide (And downright murder sometimes). They can't treat it so damn lightly. There have to be more measures against this. More discipline in the schools against this kind of abuse.

I don't want people to endure this kind of crap. I don't want to endure this kind of crap.

At least here in college no one bothers me, that kind of thing doesn't really happen over here. It's one of the reasons I prefer this over high school, big time...

Anyway, if somewhere along the line someone tries to humilliate me or some crap... That person will not just get away with it. I promise. And I will not let my kids have to endure that either.

...Anyway, Gay Marriage... I might as well give an opinion...

I have nothing against it. If a guy wants to marry a guy or a girl wants to marry a girl, I don't see why the hell would we not let'em. Whether or not they can marry by the Church or whatever religion stuff is another debate entirely, but civil gay marriage should be completely legal.

However, I have to say something which I think needs to be said about homosexuality.

It's not... natural. I have nothing against gay people, I'm cool with it, I think they should be allowed to live happy lives however they want without being bothered, no problem, but I have to say that being gay isn't natural. I mean, we come in two sexes, male and female. That's how we breed. If suddenly everyone in the world was gay, we wouldn't be able to breed and the human species is screwed unless we start forcing men and women to have sex, or pull off some Vandread-esque science thing to produce humans in a more artificial way, I dunno. I looked at the vid, and the whole "breeding season" thing sounds a lot like being forced to have sex to produce offspring. And that really doesn't sound natural at all. Sex is something that is quite linked to romantic feelings, in a way, and... I don't know I just don't like the idea :P

So I wanted to say...

The way things are now, it's cool. But please, please don't start encouraging people to be gay, or raising kids to be gay, I dunno. Two reasons:

1. People's sexual orientation is something personal they find out themselves, the way I see it. You can't just force people to be gay.
2. If too much people becomes gay our population will start to drop and we'll need to resort to forced breeding or cloning and stuff.

...This probably sounds insane as heck (and it might be :awe: ), but I'm pretty sure it could happen.

Now, proceed to bash me with all the might of your Internets at your own discretion.

*raises Flame Shield*

*realizes MoD made a post*

Ummm... yeah. Bullying and discrimination are stupid. And dumb. And stupid. ...and dumb.

...well, change starts with One. And the best way to teach is to lead with the example, they say.

So why don't you guys join me in a quest to change the world? ^_^

The next person that says “Oh, teasing is no big deal,” or “Don’t take hurtful comments too seriously,” or “Oh, you’ll get over it eventually, it’s just one bully,”, I will deliberately punch them in the face, throw them back a few years, and have them experience it for themselves. It's not fun, and I can only agree with what Nan said. If someone is Homosexual, let them be Homosexual. It's not your duty to go on some Crusade and wipe out every single Gay or Lesbian person in existence.

As for Gay Marriage, I'm not fond of it myself, but I don't see it as a bad thing. Pretty much, again, Nan said it for me, except it can be natural at times. Given evidence includes ancient Athens, where sometimes older men had sex with younger men (I forgot why, I know it used to be tradition however).

dammit nan stop stealing my brilliant discussion thoughts

I'm not stealing anything :P

And yeah... to be fair, the whole homosexuality thing has existed for quite the long time...

I once had to do a report AND a presentation about bisexuality in ancient times. Boy I did find some crazy stuff. Greece and Rome...

I don't remember exactly where it happened but they had kids do... erm... perform oral sex on an older guy and drink the sperm to like, gain manliness or something. I think it was like a rite of passage in a certain tribe.

...Saying that during the presentation was soooooooo :awe:

I also found an interesting theory which stated that deep down we're all bisexuals, that our orientation was sort of like in a scale or something. Bisexual people somehow are stuck in the middle of it and Gay people's kind of, inverted. Or something. Maybe you should look this stuff up, I might be completely wrong and you guys could learn some interesting things. :3
