Ehh, I'm not against gay marriage, but I still don't believe homosexuality comes naturally because my cousin used to have a friend who was gay, and his brother talked him into becoming gay.

Well, I believe it is natural. I don't understand how the brother could have talked him into becoming gay...if he suddenly started to like men afterwards, it probably means it was there all along.

We've had Civil Partnership. This is pretty much marriage just without being called marriage.

Supreme court legalizes gay marriage.
No union is more profound than marriage, for it embodies the highest ideals of love, fidelity, devotion, sacrifice, and family. In forming a marital union, two people become something greater than once they were. As some of the petitioners in these cases demonstrate, marriage embodies a love that may endure even past death. It would misunderstand these men and women to say they disrespect the idea of marriage. Their plea is that they do respect it, respect it so deeply that they seek to find its fulfillment for themselves. Their hope is not to be condemned to live in loneliness, excluded from one of civilization’s oldest institutions. They ask for equal dignity in the eyes of the law. The Constitution grants them that right. The judgment of the Court of Appeals for the Sixth Circuit is reversed.
It is so ordered.

Karyete: Seriously, what is your problem? And not only that, you fail to even acknowledge you might be in some wrong here.
Karyete: Oooh it's you? Hello. Feel free to drop this right now. You're going to make yourself look like an idiot.
Karyete: We don't want to hear your opinion at this stage.
Karyete: You're not getting any apology, especially after now.

took them long ♥♥♥♥

Also, I read some of the background of part of the case that was brought to the Supreme Court, and basically two guys from Ohio (where same-sex marriage wasn't legal at the time), one of whom was probably going to die soon (cancer? something else? don't remember), promised each other that they would marry before the one's death. They went to Maryland, where same-sex marriage was legal, and got married, and then they moved back to Ohio. A few months later, the one guy died, and Ohio refused to list the other guy's name under "surviving spouse" or whatever on the death certificate. And from there, it went up through the court system, and finally was combined with a bunch of other cases and was sent to the US Supreme Court recently.

So, yeah. That's pretty ♥♥♥♥ up and I'm definitely glad this is a thing now.

I also heard a story about some priest or something who promised to set himself on fire if it was legalized (not sure if he actually went through with it but that's beside the point). I don't really understand the logic behind that, because, I mean, if you don't like it, you're not being forced to participate. It doesn't affect you if you just don't. But apparently it matters too much to some people. I almost feel kind of bad saying it, but honestly, if you're really that upset about it, then go right ahead. The world's probably going to be better off without people like that.

Yeah. Some states didn't even have civil unions, like Ohio, which had NO, NOT IN MY STATE (they had active language in their law saying that they will not recognize unions made in other states).

Also, Darwin Awards are called that because you have improved the overall survivability of the Human race by removing your stupid self from the gene pool, and will create no more stupid people. There are people out there that are being so stupid about certain situations, that they earn a Darwin Award on their death. Just saying. (*cough priest on fire*)

As far as I know, the Darwin Award isn't destined for people who kill themselves in an act of furiousness about political developments whatsoever, so said priest wouldn't be a candidate for it. It's for people that die because of blatant un-cautiousness or self-overestimation, such as the following:

  • bungee-jumping and the rope is far longer than the distance between the bridge and the ground
  • throwing yourself against a window pane in your 24th floor office to demonstrate its stability to others, guess what happened
  • watching a solar eclipse with those special glasses while driving
  • robbing a bank and blasting the cashpoint with so much explosive material that the entire building collapses
And yay for a not unimportant step towards a better society.

Thank you, FF.

Rating standards: show
1 star: (0 - 5.75 in LDC) These levels need a lot of work. They're totally un-elaborated, and/or inherently flawed due to things like cutoff or enemy spam, or they're untested and there are too many bugs gameplay-wise, in short: Many many things went wrong in such a level.

2 stars: (6 - 9.75) These levels are not terrible, but poor. They're too short, lack scenery or they have errors and/or bugs but it's still barely enjoyable. Again, spend more effort and try to do better. (if it's your first level that I rate two stars, it's not bad. There's a long way you can still go)

3 stars: (10 - 12.75) These levels are about mediocre. They may be still a little bit short, the gameplay is fine but not very original and graphics are also solid, but not breath-taking. Try to keep improving!

4 stars: (13 - 15) These levels are nice, but not the best. Effort has been put into them, there can some professionality be seen in gameplay and graphics, they're a nice experience to play, but there are still things you can do to make it even better. Try to go the extra mile!

5 stars: (15.25 - 20) These are really great levels, those which, as said, I would give more than 15 in an LDC. These suffice many high requirements, and it already goes into subtleties if you want to make them better. These levels are successful all around. Bravo.

These are just general principles I try to follow when rating. Sometimes I don't leave a further comment when rating, most times I do, if you have questions about it, feel free to ask further.

Gay marriage huh? Normal to me. Except stupid people laugh at gay marriage. But ones female marry female or male marry male it's like two female/male living together as friends.

I'm pretty sure it's more like two females or two males living together as spouses more than it is as friends, because it's, y'know, marriage, but yeah, that's kind of the idea.
