So, tonight, I preformed Romeo and Juliet. We completely KILLED it! Adding extra content that made the audience laugh was what set us apart from the regular one. Now, I would like to talk about the much dreaded, Shakespeare. Up for discussion, what does everyone think about any work they have seen by him? I myself have seen/done Romeo and Juliet, as well as saw a great version of Midsummer Night's Dream, which I must admit was excellently comedic... If not a bit perverted. What do you all think?

Good, azn. You may have a career in this stuff. How was your opposite?

And furthermore, I don't know much about shakespeare, except for the fact that there was no J around the time of Romeo and Juliet...

Well, I've read and seen Romeo and Juliet. Hate it. Read Macbeth. Hate it. Never want to touch Shakespeare again. But I haven't read any of his comedies…so at some point I might read one just to see if he has any worth whatsoever.

Eheh, oops, alright, shoulda read more carefully. So you read tragedies? O_o Yeah... I'm not much of a fan of tragedies either. >_> The thing about those is that tragedies usually make everyone look like depressing people who basically do anything based on irrational thoughts.

If you think about it, that could actually be pulled off well, but yeah, Tragedies don't.

"It would be if it were doctrine, but it is merely an observation of the nature of reality.
To say that Nothing is True is to realize that the foundations of society are fragile, and that we must be the shephards of our own civilization.
To say that Everything is Permitted is to understand that we are the architects of our actions, and that we must live with the consequences, whether glorious...or tragic."

So.... After more than a month of having this movie in my computer, I have finally gotten around to watching it!

The Hurt Locker

2010's Award Winning movie starts out in a hurry. Giving the audience the explosions and cussing that they desire. This action packed, bomb handling movie is, well... I can say decent. While the character development was excellent, the movie quickly falls in the fact that once you get through the first half, you realize it's the same things over and over again. I mean, surely there must be more to being a soldier then walking up to bombs, disabling them, running back and maybe sometimes getting a few shots, right?

Now, I think I see the reason why the director chose to do this approach. The soldier's life is of course, never what it's cracked up to be, and this really shows how life can go by in such a blur. While the movie shows this excellently, having such an approach of jumping scene after scene makes the movie a slight bit hard to follow. Even then, the story doesn't have anything unexpected, nor does it have any significant happenings.

Albeit, this IS a low budget movie. For having limited resources, they did quite well, although they definitely could have cut out some of the slowing down scenes... A lot of things happened in the movie that didn't even lead up to anything, but you expected it to foreshadow some event or another. The Professor that was at the place led to Beckham... The terrorists who blew up a tank... The fact that Sanborn wondered if he could ever do what James did.

One thing this movie did quite well at was the suspense. Bombs are always quite scary. I will admit, I was staring intently at the screen as James, a very likeable character, was disarming bombs. Of course, all of these suspenseful moments turned out fine, and anything that COULD have been suspenseful was not.

This movie was great, I must say, people have to see it. Don't expect an epic storyline, but do expect some good action-suspense.

I'd say that's close to my opinion of the movie…great movie…(but District 9 still should've won the Academy Award *is shot*)

EDIT: Bump time! All right, so did any of you see Iron Man 2? I saw it last night and thought it was quite good. A lot of people said that it wasn't as good as the first, but I disagree. The first one was much smoother, but the plot also was a little simpler. The second one was rougher and more chaotic, but the plot was more complex, and I think the rougher film style fit the more chaotic story. Downey was great in both as was the overall acting, and the action was quite good in each. What did you guys think?
