Horror movies going too far?

The new horror movies these days are getting creepier. Gore, blood, Screamers. Im suprised they dont rate these 25+

No. Horror movies are awesome no matter how much blood and gore they have.

No... Not really. O_o Old Horror movies, I'm not talking like, OLD old, but older ones were scarier. Now it's just mostly slasher movies or easily noticeable suspense movies.

Yeah, I agree with azn. The beginning of "good graphic" horror movies was the time of the great smashes.

Now-a-days it's all... Paranormal Activities, which frankly, I laughed all the way through. And I was watching that by myself, too! Gosh, I've seen scarier YouTube videos.

Look, I just don't get scared with movies full stop, though. I used to, but no matter what I watch, I'm not affected whatsoever. Random pop-ups still get me, though. :P

Anyway, scary movies aren't scary. Not anymore. Now it's all, you've seen it once you've seen it a million times. Everyone's all like "PARANORMAL ACTIVITY! ONE OF THE SCARIEST MOVIES OF ALL TIME!"

Yeah? Well movies never were scary, so this can't really be a step up.

I have to say, my favorite horror franchise has to be Saw, not because of the scary, but because of the brilliance of the guy himself.

And I don't even like Saw that much. But everyone in my family will gather around when a laughable current-gen graphic movie comes on; me? I'll be typing this messege up.

Therefore Sonicfan, you must be a squirmer. You aren't scared of the scariness itself, but more of the bloody graphics.

I think most horror movies nowadays are an inescapable pit of blood and guts, nothing more.
