I don't get the big fuss over that issue, not that I care much about AmericaBall. The team supports lots of tribes whose populations are dwindling. It's not a racist team name, it's promoting them in a way.

as long as they don't go as far as to physically attack someone or whatever, I generally don't mind it, although I don't agree with it either.

I once read a serious essay of some sort saying that the Redskins name was offensive to Native Americans. Upon finding a survey that said that a large majority of Native Americans didn't feel offended by the name, the author basically said that Native Americans were too stupid to realize that they were being offended.

Over here people aren't legitimately racist, we just say stuff to each other because we're friends and we know we're joking. I see how that might be seen as a problem, but to me it's just friends screwing around with each other.
As for the real racists, all you can do is hope they get arrested for some event fueled by their hatred and hope the next generation as a whole is taught "the correct" moral values.
