Well... I keep seeing topics discussing bad things happening in the world, humanity going to hell or whatever... I don't know.

I make this topic for you to share good news. Like, talk about good things going on in the world. Like, people helping people, or doing good for the environment, animals, whatever.

Because there are good things happening.

I would, if only the news would inform the populace that there are good acts being carried out. ._.

Edit: Wait, scratch that, I might have one.

So there was this one time a few days ago where I completely missed the bus stop that stops near my apartment, and as a result ended up a good 20 minutes away from it (assuming I walked/ran). Halfway through some nice female college students pulled over voluntarily and asked if I wanted a ride. I figured why not, so I hopped in. Apparently they were actually pretty nice people and really helped me out in that sense, and we got together pretty well.

Needless to say they saved my ♥♥♥, especially since I had stepped in a giant freezing puddle and not sure how much longer my feet could go.

An arts student from Preston, Lancashire (in England) had lost her bank card one night when she needed to get home, and a homeless man ("Robbie") offered her £3 for a taxi, which was all the money he had. She declined, but was so touched by his offer that she set up a campaign to raise money for him to get an apartment, and ended up raising over £20,000 for Robbie and lots of other homeless people in Preston.

(Note: £3 = $4.70 USD = €3.83; £20,000 = $31,322 USD = €25,508.70)

For the ski-jumping competition in Innsbruck a lot of troublesome storms and a problematic competition were forecasted, and what happened instead? There was the most awesome and exciting competition in Innsbruck EVER, with two new hill records (138 m!) and German ski-jumper Richard Freitag taking the win.

Isn't that good news?

Correction: Michael Hayböck's jump on 138m doesn't count as the hill record because he touched the snow, now Stefan Kraft is the hill record holder with 137m.

Utah has been fixing the problem of chronic homelessness by just giving houses to the homeless, which turned out to be more effective than treating their issues first. http://www.newyorker.com/magazine/2014/09/22/home-free (Not that new, but still)

Slovenian ski jumper Peter Prevc is the first human to fly 250 meters.

I've watched it live on TV. That was just ... incredible ... if there's any word for it.
