It's sick and I'm not fond of it. For me it doesn't need the death of a helpless animal to state your point.
This is no a protest for me and it's definitely no art.

Anyways. I think this is material for a good discussion. So how do you guys think about this?

Wait, how did this process even work? How did people seriously become convinced to just allow meaningless violence like that?

As someone who has a disgust for rats, mice and other kind of rodents, I don't want to say anything.

On the other hand, what this guy is doing doesn't seem really ok IMO. From what I understood from the article, the guy is against military drones, which as far as I know, drones are a small aircraft remotely controlled. Now if it's military, of course it has a chance it will be used as a weapon, but I have no problems with it personally, let the army do whatever it takes to defend us, but not start pointless conflicts. I make no link between the drones the army uses and the random rat being shot by random internet surfer. It's pretty ridiculous.

"Mehnert said that the installation, called 11 Days, is a protest against the use of military drones - both as weapons and as tools of surveillance."

"A rat dies for the service of art."

My analysis is complete.

It works by killing anonymous over the internet. Thinking about it. Is it possible that there could be more things like this happening actually, as it's kind of using a gap within the law? *shudders*

Having a completely unjustified hate for rodents doesn't make it any less wrong to kill an animal for no real reason other than to make a point.
(I say unjustified because I have owned both rats and mice, and they're amazingly smart and so nice.)

Watch Ratatouille and you'll think entirely different.

Anyways, this is sadistic as ♥♥♥♥. It's totally nonsense to protest against nuisances by blatantly displaying them this way. What an ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥.

You cannot choose to have or not a phobia, some of them come out of no where.
Some people have arachnophobia.
Some people have a phobia for insects.
I have a rodent-ophobia. Besides bunnies and squirrels I don't feel alright near any kind of rodent. I have a feeling they are full of diseases and dirty and so on. True, you can tame a phobia over time, but right now that's how I feel near them. Phobias aren't always justified, they are just there.
