Haha Brando I probably used the wrong term there. I don't think it's so much "out of my league" in that she's better than me, but that we're in way different places in life. Y'know, her being 29 or something and be still not being of drinking age, and I'm pretty sure she's got a life and a partner and ♥♥♥♥, I don't know that well. She's just genuinely attractive to me in a way that transcends that. That feeds into the "can I please stop having the hots for people up to a decade older than me please God" thing because I don't know how many 25-29 year olds wanna be with a twenty-one year old, and that's even before the gender/sexual dynamics that I still need to sort out.

I just thought I'd talk about her because that's nice to do when you like someone. ^_^

Re: How was your day?

Postby Chaukai » June 5th, 2015, 12:15 am

Hi I'm Austin Chau. Um. I'm not exactly sure how to start this to be honest. My typing is like a stream of thought already, and trying to collect all the events that happened even within the most recent day is, well... Hard. I'm not very good at these kind of things. I get asked it sometimes and usually the response is just, "Oh, it was cool. Video games, slept, anime." But I'll try to say things. First I'll respond to people.

So to address the creation of this thread and the first few posts about it:

This is my first post in Serious Discussion in a while. Actually, this is my first post outside of a certain forum which shall not be named in a while. (No seriously, check my recent posts. 11 pages before a post outside of FoA.) I think this has a lot of potential to be something nice. It's like the things you want to say thread but more formal, more.... Sincere.

Also, about the looks thing, the good thing about being Asian is that you're ambiguously aged. :P To an extent. Suck thing is that I don't grow any facial hair except gross pedo whiskers.

nin10mode wrote:I did think a lot about what I could have done differently over the years; maybe I could have asked about joining in middle school, maybe I could have tried out for drum major(student conductor), maybe I could have joined other performing arts groups like a lot of my friends ended up doing.

Well, I think Blab put it best earlier in the thread about college. If you have any regrets, wash them away and try new things in university. You'll have more freedom and the best experiences there, so make full use of it. :)

Okay um, so how was my day(s)? (I'm not sure what exactly I'm going to be writing so I'm just going to be proactive and assume it might be more than one days lol)

I'll start with work. One of my bosses and also the only dedicated programmer in our office is going to the military for 6 months. So, what is he going to do before he leaves? He needs to make sure someone in office knows what to do in case one of the websites we host explodes into pieces. So I volunteer for it. Problem is? Wow I know so little about this. php and sql databases look like a mess for me and I don't understand any of it, I haven't really learned or been around this environment before... I guess I'll have to learn since I'm getting paid to do it, but it's super stressful having this pressure on me... Especially when most of the time I just watch twitch streams all day during work and play a certain game about anthropomorphed ships.

Speaking of League streams, you should probably skip this part if you don't want a slight bit of League of Legends jargon. I'll try to keep it minimum. My fantasy League of Legends team is doing absolute ♥♥♥♥, I thought I'd share that lol. Last week I barely scraped by with a win at the last minute.

Image

For those who don't follow, the number at the top is the total score and each number next to the player is the contribution. I'm actually kind of proud of this win because this is my first fantasy and I've been super excited to try this out. This week has just started so not many numbers are up yet, but omg I picked such horrible choices.

Image

SK Gaming is going to be the death of me. ;-;

It's been thundering and raining today so I decided to go out for a 1 AM stroll in the rain. It felt really good.

I know this post has been like seven years long but I want to wrap this up with one more thing that's been going on. Basically, I've been wanting to go eat Korean BBQ for a while. If you haven't had it before, what happens is you go to a restuarant get a grill in the middle of your table and you cook marinated meat in the grill. It's so delicious mmmmm. But anyways, I've been wanting to go, but if I went alone that'd be super suck, so I invited my cousins and my twin friends to go. Problem is, apparently we can NEVER GET A DAY where everyone is available. Basically we were supposed to get together on Sunday to eat, but then I, being the idiot I was, forgot that was the last day one of my friends was going to be in town for a while so I had to go hang out with him. So we rescheduled for Friday. But Friday didn't work because something came up with someone. So we moved it to Tuesday. But then Friday opened up again. So now it's back on Friday. Tomorrow.

The worlds probably going to end tomorrow so we'll have to reschedule again.

Have fun.

I might try that, though. My school's IT team needs an upgrade in how they manage things...and it pays well...so...eh...

I might make a post. I might not. Who knows.

@Chau: Hee. You seem to have had some fun with your post. And it was fun reading it. Even when you don't share someone's interests, if someone talks about them and you can feel their passion for it, it's always nice to hear.

Hope everything goes well at tomorrow's apocalypse.

@Moy: Lol, sorry. My mistake.

@Chau, if you need help, I'd be happy to lend a hand, just send a PM, and Kimonio's tutorials should help too. I am not a master of such things, but I know enough that I should be able to figure most things out.

@nin Wow. You played at Disney World. That is pretty cool. I wish I knew more about music.

@MoD Yeah. Me and my brother have similar but opposite situations. I always look older than I am, and one of my brothers always looks younger than he is. (Another point of difference is that I have a big bushy beard, and he just. can't. grow one. Maybe that's a factor too...)

Let's see...how has my day been going so far since I feel not that great...

Well I'm about to go out into town and buy some fat free yogurts and get a coffee or something. I really crave eating unhealthy food but it's not gonna happen, my anxiety is all over the damn place, so much so that I can barely function.

I also am making a doctor's appointment because my mood swings are getting a little weird and out of sync with everything else.
But wondering if I should call the doctors here this evening because I noticed I saw a little bit of blood last night after 'flushing out' my food and drink, which is dangerous so I should have seen this coming, and now my stomach feels tender and my chest is stabbing with pain every so often. Then again idk if my chest is hurting more because of this or just my extreme anxiety at the whole matter. It's a good thing my dad is going out for a meal with his work pals tonight, I don't want him around if I am to call a doctor over.

Good news is though, I have a busy and exciting month ahead. Tomorrow and for the weekend, I am going to the south coast to see family and we're having a garden party which is going to be lovely. Then on Tuesday I'm going to see Ariana Grande live in Birmingham, which I've been patiently waiting for for over half a year now. <3
And on the 19th June I'm seeing one of the most special people in my life right now.
And also some time this month I get to see my best friend and her fiancé.

So I should be happy really, just some stuff hasn't gone quite to plan and I haven't been feeling myself recently.

EDIT: I love funny stories- I decided to freak out my mum by texting her from the café window, saying "I can see you ;)" and I saw her outside checking her phone, before a salesman took his chance to interrogate her while she stood still. Lol I'm evil.

Well, today I went to school as usual, and since it was the second to last school day for me, we almost did nothing. In fact, my class watched a video for the first 2 hours and another one at the 6th hour. At the other hours we just did normal lesson.
After school, I just got to home and then stayed at the computer. That's what I always do anyway.
My days are usually the same... I don't mind about it, though.

I mentioned it in the chat yesterday as well, but today I went with my friend to the Vet to get her dog put down. I knew the dog pretty well and it had been struggling with tumors around it's entire body and it was just not humane to keep it in that pain anymore. We were both trainwrecks, dogs dying at all sucks. My mom said that we should surprise her with a new dog so that's gonna be fun.

On the bright side, 1 free donut day at Dunkin Donuts.

Re: How was your day?

What was MY day like?

Well, I had to work this morning, so I tried to go to bed a little early. Of course, I was Minecrafting with all you guys, so that didn't work ;P but I had a ball, and managed to get to bed around 3 or so. I got up for work just before I had to go, with a weird dream, which I ended up spending the totality of my free morning time writing down, so I was almost late for work.

Work was work. Problems with several blinds orders, and I did my best to untangle them all. At least the atmosphere has lightened up a touch. People had gotten pretty down, on the whole, over issues with management. I gave my boss's-boss's-boss a stern talking to a few days ago, and that seems to have helped things. I love that I can do that stuff. A bunch of paint freight to put away, which sucks, but that's part of the job. Hauling around 5 gallon buckets of paint wears a man out, though. Thankfully it was a short shift today.

After work, I had agreed to go and visit my parents. My mom did her usual best - tell endless stories about her glory days - which is MUCH better than spending endless hours complaining about everything. I got my dad his favorite food for dinner (whole belly clams), and everyone was happy. I jazzed home to make sure the dogs got fed and walked, and now I'm writing this.

Also, sorry about the dog, Raz.
