This whole Paris thing is making me feel bitter. I should be more sympathetic to the whole situation but the dead are the only ones I pity. It's illuminated just how quick we are to fall back on good ol' fashioned racism the second we have an excuse, and how much we Anglocize tragedy- ignore all the self-destruction of similar or worse intents that ISIS has done upon itself, and only freak out when it happens in White People land. People conveniently ignoring ISIS' self destructive tendencies to have a reason to go against all the refugees and Muslims they don't like by lumping them all in together. I hear the phrase "if x happens the terrorists win," but the second France bombed Syria (or as some lying news sites put it, the capital of ISIS- no they bombed Syria, the ♥♥♥♥ nation, and the second everyone turned a blind eye to all of the Muslims who were now being revenge-oppressed for sharing a faith and skin color, congrats- you let the terrorists win. ISIS wanted an excuse to declare there's a war against Islam, and you're making them right. Way to make the terrorists look reasonable and sane.

Really? So we went from praying for France and hoping people were okay to blaming Muslims? Wha-? Why? Come on, It's not the Muslims fault, it was ISIS. ISIS was said to be behind this attack on France, not the general Muslim population in this world. Seriously? Blaming other Muslims isn't going to get us anywhere. What's the point of blaming other people of different races or religion when all it does is cause more destruction?

Because ISIS is smart, and they know that the general public is going to be ignorant of that anyway, and deliberately fostering even more Islamophobia/hostility in order to cause even more destruction is their goal?

And they're succeeding.

Needless to say, the surge in racism I've seen since the Paris attacks both in real life and on the internet has frankly been disgusting, and so has the fact that nearly everyone, including major news outlets, has been ignoring the several other major attacks that occurred in the days prior to the Paris event (plus the other attacks and conflicts that have been going on for multiple years now???). I'm probably the worst one here to speak on this because I've been pretty apathetic to these kinds of things my whole life unless it directly affects someone I know, no matter how awful it sounds of me (the only emotions I really feel during these are sympathy for the victims and some anger toward myself about not being much more concerned about it, but I mean it's a little hard to not feel jaded when the world all around you is going to ♥♥♥♥ anyway), but it's definitely been a general trend in the past few years (decades?) to not give any ♥♥♥♥ whatsoever about anything happening outside of Europe and America. It's completely horrible that ISIS is doing these things, yes, but ♥♥♥♥ me if it's not also incredibly immature, if not more so, for people (or countries) to be responding the way they have been.

Sorry if this post is completely unintelligible because I kind of just slapped it together without putting much effort into it

Maybe I'm missing something but I've seen near to no additional racism after the Paris attacks. As far as I'm aware, I thought people were continuing to recognise ISIS alone as a terrorist organisation, not a representation of all Muslims.

Some people are just ignorant. Try to talk to a fool or prove him wrong, he'll only make you steep down to his level and proceed to use this against you. I see that this sort of thing is happening to the world too.

Yeah. Pretty much.
Reminds me of a quote from Men in Black: "A person is smart. People are dumb, panicky dangerous animals and you know it."

EDIT:
What's the point of putting in so much effort when you keeping failing no matter what or you just keep getting beat by someone way worse in skill? It's stupid, and it's embarrassing. It's also not very enjoyable.
Oh wait, I put those two quotes in the Legit Quote Museum...but still. I don't really take things to heart or even take advice very well. I just don't; I don't see belief in the advice. I don't see how it works. Why shouldn't I stress about things? I suck at talking to people. I'm only above average in all the things I do. *insert my past history*. How is that something to not be stressed about? Why is being calm a good thing?

It's only when I stop caring anymore is when I'm calm -_-

Reading my news feed, listening to my parents and family talk, and watching the news, I'm ♥♥♥♥ fuming.

100,000 refugees need help.

4,000,000,000 Americans are of fighting age.

Half of those are whining bigots who complain about ISIS and talk ♥♥♥♥ about those who won't sign up for the military.

That same half is the same group of ♥♥♥♥ who now are talking ♥♥♥♥ about how veterans matter more.

YOU ALL COULD HAVE GIVEN LESS OF A ♥♥♥♥ ABOUT THEM BEFORE THIS.

Just.....just....♥♥♥♥ it. My hope is gone. ♥♥♥♥ it all. The US won't beat ISIS, all it does is talk. I'm done. ♥♥♥♥ it all. -_______-

Tried to post this on Facebook but mobile app was ♥♥♥♥.
(Does this count as double posting or no? Not sure)
Spoiler: show
The xenophobia I see in my nation is putrid. It's absolutely revolting. I actually fear for any refugee or American with middle eastern background, simply because the nation itself is becoming the weapon ISIS needed. A mosque was set on fire in Canada by paranoid patriots. If that doesn't spell a hint that ISIS wants you to be afraid, then our intelligence as a nation has surelyy diminished to the cognitive level of that less than a preschool child.

Even more revolting is the ignorance, predominantly that of those who refuse to do research of their own past Facebook posts and news pages. You have an entire repository at your fingertips, and can read up on the threat as far back as the hostage situation during the Reagan presidency, yet you would rather believe in a picture that quotes Obama or that draws a comparison between liberals and conservatives.

You all need to stop being cowardly sheep, and teach yourselves to not be the dumb follower of the hand that feeds you. You are lucky to live in a first world nation that offers you thousands of books and texts about anything you want to know. So use it.

Otherwise, it was nice knowing you guys, and I hope my nephew won't have to grow up in the dark dismal future you all refuse to stop.

Nah man. I've posted tons of ranting on here myself. I'm quite negative at times.
And the whole point of me making this topic was to let people rant.
