Agree with Harmless, although the Bible was never a "valid source," even before all the alterations lol.

I looked at those Quran quotes, and those seem really harsh to me.

As for Progressives: does seeing a billboard advertising a Christian church that has a red slash through a picture of evolution count as anything? This also might be another reason why I stopped going to a Baptist church. The euphemism was extreme there, and I don't think it was really helping me grow in my faith.

I don't know if I am understanding the progressive term very well.

For the record, the Qur'an isn't more violent or regressive than the Old Testament.

I wasn't really criticizing religions with the OP. As you noted, religious people are never progressives. I was attacking the phenomenon where atheists, feminists and such, who are quick to criticize Christianity, treat Islam as a sacred cow, despite how similar the two religions are.

You probably don't see this if you're in North America, this is much more common in the United Kingdom and Europe.

These 'liberals' who support Islam for political points are the people I'm criticizing.

Ah okay.
Well, that or I'm not really keeping up with the news like I ought to.

Yeah, people call themselves progressive but until they actually start showing progress and critical thinking I'm not inclined to agree with them ;P
Expect something cool here soon!
