Hillary's awfulness I feel is grossly exaggerated in an attempt to pump up Bernie which I feel will grossly backfire in the likely scenario where Hillary could pull it off over Bernie. She's very mediocre and uninspiring, but I still think she's miles more tolerable than any right-wing candidate in an era where the conservative side apparently has convinced itself it needs to get candidates from the local circus.
But again, I personally, being trans and being all sorts of queer, don't have the privilege that straight people do, that white people do, that men do, to vote for anyone except for Hillary. In this system a third party candidate, even if that third party candidate was a spurned Bernie, is pissing into the wind and lets the diehard Trump fans get more of an edge to a presidency that could literally ruin my life. Let's get that clear about the Conservative base- they are united and powerful, whereas I sense a lot of lackadaisical behavior from liberals who know that even if they don't like the president, their lives won't personally be ruined it. That's what the colored people and queers are for.

okay as i read your post more I took it as this:
"Raz: okay reading MoD's post more it seems like he's saying IF hillary wins and goes against trump or something he'd have to vote hillary"
which is completely more understandable and that's what I'd do too. but everything I say after this is what I interpreted it as before and i don't want to delete it for nothing. It's in hide tags, just be warned that there's a lot of flaws cause I was too tired to give my sources and my thought process is too jumbled for it to make much sense. My point was: support the one who truly supports your cause regardless of public opinion.
I honestly am not sure how to take your post. And because of that, I'll just say it as I interpret it. Please don't take this negatively, because it's simple how I'm taking it and I just want to make Bernie's case for someone in your position. If this isn't what you said, assume it's to the general people who DO think this because those people exist and I don't like that.
"She's exaggerated by Bernie supporters." (of course republicans too but that's not new.)
yes. she is. But why do you think that is? She's a woman, yes, a lot of people will hate her more for that, sadly. She's also a liar. She also changes her views a lot (specifically gay marriage which I'm sure is somewhat important to you.) depending on public opinion. This isn't terrible, of course, but she's not consistent. Bernie has always been, since the 1970s.
Don't dismiss Bernie so quickly. Yes, he is getting low polls in most states. But he was in Iowa. He tied in Iowa, where polls were low for him,and won New Hampshire. He has a chance, of course Hillary has more of a chance, because people want to vote someone in simply because they're a woman or they don't like sanders supporters and their pushiness.
"I being a minority, have to vote the minority candidate."
Here and onward is where you REALLY lose me. Again, are you saying you're voting her cause she's a woman and so, you feel obligated to vote for her? Bernie's jewish, and he's already the first non-christian to win a presidential primary. He'd be the first non-christian to win the election. I think that's pretty significant too.
This post is a mess, but this is just my thought process.
To put it simply: Why would you vote for the one who hasn't even supported your cause until public opinion supported it, compared to the person who has supported it since the 1970s, before anyone even thought about legalizing this crime? He completely has a chance and has proven it, dismissing him for that reason at this point is unbelievable. Vote the one who supports your cause.

As a side note, I just want to mention that when it comes to Bernie's popularity, it's exposure that's the most important thing. I swear after each debate Bernie keeps getting closer and closer to Clinton's numbers. FiveThirtyEight (which I recommend highly for keeping track of polling on both sides) currently says they each have
a 50/50 chance of winning Nevada, and we still have days to go. It'll be close, that's for sure.
Honestly at this point I'm more worried about Bernie getting assassinated or dying of pneumonia. I mean seriously, at the last debate his coughing was pretty rough. But hopefully that's just my paranoia talking.

Literally because you randomly linked her page and I read her site and she seemed cool except she's basically the same as Bernie, just with slightly more emphasis on environmental issues because Green party (which is by no means bad. just an observation)
But yeah I'm kinda curious about third party candidates now (even though Bernie's technically an independent anyway)

Here's the thing. Bernie was barely polling at 5% 9 months ago. So yes, it's completely possible for someone to pick up. But currently, we just finished the New Hampshire primary and the Iowa Caucus. At this point, she has no chance whatsoever to pick up. It's just too late into the election, Bernie got lucky it was so early on.
Like OJ said, they're essentially the same with different priorities so I don't see why you should waste a vote on someone who has no chance. The two vote system sucks, I agree, but we need to work with what we have, maybe if we elect the right person they'll help clean that up too.

Ok, let's be real, people. We are voting for whoever ISN'T Donald Trump. Hillary might be an ♥♥♥ sometimes, but she's an accidental ♥♥♥. Trump's an ♥♥♥ on purpose.

I've read several stuff elaborating that Trump will fail in the long run ... if you can't reach black, hispanic, gay and lesbian people at all, you're chanceless, that's the tenor. Given recent surveys, 63% of all Americans would never vote for him, both Bernie and Hillary would beat him with ease ...
