What's faster than light? That is future? Or past?

Postby Worst_master » April 16th, 2010, 7:27 pm

I saw many people said Faster than light can go to the future.
(Light speed = 300000km/sec)
Like the tilte, why that faster than light can go to future?
Can we go to the past?
I think no!
Like a joke:
If you go to the past and kill your grandpa, so your grandpa is dead, so your father won't be here.
Your father won't be here, so you won't be here too, so that you are not here. You are fake, false!
But if you aren't here, so no one go to kill your grandpa, your granpa isn't dead, so your father is here,
Your father is here, so that you are here too, so that you can go to the past and go to kill your grandpa! Now you are real, true!
So you go to the past and kill your grandpa, so your grandpa is dead, so your father won't be here.
Your father won't be here, so you won't be here too, so that you are not here. You are fake, false......
It make paradox, so it must be wrong: we can't go to the past.
One more:
If some one can go to the past, why that we can't see the people who are in future?
Thar mena Faster than light will not go to past, that mean we will go to future, isn't?
So anwser my question:why that faster than light can go to future?
Any things can faster than it?
If we faster than it, what happen?

Well okay, the faster then light theory is something that Einstein discovered. Basically he said that once you obtain lightspeed, your time will differ from other's times. (Not exactly sure. I may need someone to back me up on that.) For example, a person who traveled two weeks at the speed of light will actually have traveled years to those who weren't traveling at the speed of light.

As with the time thing, the only theory which would work with those situations is the parallel universe theory, where in case, as people travel through time, multiple dimensions are being created, stacking amongst eachother and becoming to the billions. Of course, we would never know unless we have some way of traveling to the parallel dimension.

Okay thx, although it is so difficult to know.

the closest to going to the past[logically] man will ever get is going infinite [measurment] per [time measurment].
But even then you're only gonna be seeing frozen time, nothing going in reverse.
Plus it'll be black since light is MOVING energy, and if it's not particles and not moving, nothing will be able to light the scene.

Time is nothing more than an idea, it is not tangible, it is only a way of explaining why things happen in sequences.

I heard the faster you go, the slower time will be. So if you'Re as fast as light, time will stop, and if you go even faster, you'll travel in the past.

That's all I know, the problem is, you can't see what awaits you... are there suddenly two of you? How will the people of the past see you? Will they just see a hyperfast idiot running backwards? And what happens if you kill your father?

That'll never happen. The only thing that's faster than light is God
