Ipad? Fantastic or Fail? Or Fantastic Fail?

I think it's probably more portable than you might think…it probably could fit in a large pocket or a small briefcase, which a laptop couldn't.

How big is this pocket which you are speaking of? O_o Have you seen the size of that thing? Small briefcase, yeah I could see that. But again, wouldn't it just be simpler to get a Mac if you truly are an Apple fan? >_>

Heh, if you're truly an Apple fan, you'd have both. But ultimately, since none of us have an iPad, it's really unfair for us to debate its merits and faults.

EDIT: So I just saw an iPad in person, and I gotta tell you, watching a video on that thing, I felt like I was watching it on a 60" plasma TV. Graphics are incredible, and the size certainly has an advantage in that regard. But it's also bigger than I thought…anyhow, I didn't see a whole lot, but what I did was quite awesome.

DOUBLE EDIT: Don't you love how I keep bumping this topic? Anyhow, as a graduation gift (yes, I'm graduating high school this month), my grandparents got me an iPad. So now we'll actually know what we're talking about! I have yet to get it set up and stuff, but it looks really nice sitting on my desk.

Anyways, I wanna play with one of them, they look nice and shiny, maybe as good as rusty spoons (kudos to those who get the reference).


The thing is, I don't want an iPad... yet. It's still in its first edition, and with quite a few things Apple do, they do not always turn out great for the first edition.

Yah, it is too big, bad for kids. (Their hands is small.) If the screen can be smaller or...
Can be "Movble" (Just hide the another part at the back) Then if you need that part, move it out. It is too big, the screen...... It may smaller.

Well, I will let you know as soon as I get my iPad set up which is better…though it may be bigger and less portable, keep in mind that that should allow for much better graphics and that the iPad also should be good for reading eBooks and stuff…also the iPad has word processing which the iPhone doesn't…

I like the idea of HD apps... but to me it just seems like a bigger, better and more expensive Ipod touch.

You're not being rude…you're merely stating your opinion. And it might turn out to be nothing more than that. But rest assured I will let you know when I know…

EDIT: I have set up the iPad and have uploaded all of my music, movies, and photos to it. It has much better speakers than the iPhone to the point that I am quite happily enjoying my music right now with the volume just right. The speakers are pretty much as good as my computer…graphics are also superb…I've yet to really fool around with apps and word processing and any of that…will keep you posted.
