Two Time Terminators

Postby TrappedTime » July 22nd, 2010, 1:40 pm

Okay, something to ponder on.

Two people can stop time at any given moment, but on their on, so both people don't stop at the same time.
Now, they both stop time at the same moment, and one of them breaks their watch.
What would number2 guys see when he starts time again?

Now imagine if there were only ONE guy and he broke the watch/ What would normal time see?

Well, there are a number of other questions about the universe and the technology that need to be answered before any proper analysis can begin. for example, how are they "stopping" time? Are they speeding themselves up so that time seems to stand still for them? Are they affecting some constant of the universe that affects time for everyone else? Is time actually stopped or just slowed? Is this something that can be just turned on or off, or does it take energy to keep the effect up? You said "but on their on, so both people don't stop at the same time". Does that mean that the effect that each uses cannot affect anyone else using the same or similar technology? Are they both pulled outside of the time stream, or is there some field that is being canceled out? Either way, is either one of them moving faster than the other (in the case of speeding up faster than local time, did they both speed up to the same speed - making one of them look slow, but faster than everything else...) What exactly is involved in the breaking of the watch: is there an explosion? Are there other repercussions on time or space? In the case of needing energy to sustain the effect, is the effect stopped immediately? In the case of it being a switch, are they trapped forever in stopped time?

LOTS to think about...
