You can't really do that, because the coding of the designer doesn't work that way.
It's split up into a bunch of segments first. The first is the level dimensions, the second are the tiles, the third are items, and the rest are miscellaneous things, like music, background, and name.
Items are in order of placement, so unless MP3 made the level perfectly the first time in a linear fashion, she would be deleting bits and pieces from everywhere.
Tile coding is quite a bit more complex, and Suyo's tutorial can probably inform you more on that, but just deleting the second half not it will not work.
