Question about layering

What dictates whether or not an item shows behind a tile or not?

Um…I think whatever you place first will be behind the other.

Not always the case it seems, which is why I asked. But thanks. I'll just mess around with it

Items always show up behind tiles, unless it's an interactive tile, in which case all items show up in front of it (which I find rather annoying o_O).

Basically, layering goes like this: interactive tiles and wall tiles < items < regular tiles

There is an option in View that toggles the layering of items to go Behind or in front of something...although I don't know what that "something' is. I put a door in front of a mega bush and I pressed "Toggle Layering" and it went behind! So yeah it helps!

Don't think that does it, I've tested that theory a few times. Toggle layering just helps you when you are trying to sort things out when creating

EDIT: Oh goody...i wanted to put a door behind some walkthrough tiles but there is no way to do it. fml
