So obviously the big problem (or at least one of the big problems) is extensions at this point. I think warnings is a little harsh (only exception: if the user shows much activity on the forums yet next to no progress on their level). But we could of course disqualify users from future activities if they unnecessarily hold the contest up (future LDCs, FoA, Game on Time if Suyo ever comes back to it, etc.)
I also think an Extension Limit should be in order. Two weeks, at most, sound fair. Afterwards--no matter what you're excuse is--you will not be able to participate; the entire contest cannot wait for you. For entrants who have no control over their absence (MOY's power outage, for example), the same rule applies to you (though if something that drastic happens, in no way would you be punished for it). You think real contests will continue to distribute extensions due to your constant excuses, logical or unlogical? Real life just doesn't work that way. If you can get it done, you can. If you can't within the set time limit, then you can't. Also, frankly I'm beginning to question the excuse of being "busy" as a reason for an extension. You are busy with school, homework, other primary activites aside from this one? That's fine, but don't just immediately fall back and expect us to catch you, and don't shun us if we don't.
Not much to say about anything else. The LDCs just aren't as popular as they used to be, and people aren't really motivated into participating, it seems like.
