It's meant to be an improved level designer, in that it enables you to do everything you can do in the normal LD and stuff you have to do by editing the code.
The LD version of SM63 is no way different (code wise) than the full game LD. This will just be an alternate LD.

So basically, this is an alternate LD in which we dont need to screw around with the code to disable stuff?

Looks awesome.

Keep at it, Suyo!
Is this going to be online or a downloadable program?
One last thing.
Suyo wrote:You may also request some more features, but keep in mind I can only do what is possible in the regular LD.
This statement contradicts itself. Why can we request more features if you can only do what is possible in the regular LD?
EDIT:

Yep.
EDIT2:
Suyo wrote:Here's something to look at while I wait for a response from Runouw about the New LP API.
New LP API? What's that?

Here's one, Suyo, if you haven't already done it.
The ability to do a ♥♥♥♥ of tiles at once, and the ability to cut/copy and paste.
The first would be like taking a tile and having the option to fill in 50 x 10 squares, for like filler below the top tiles. It'd save us a ♥♥♥♥ of time. Like, it'd reduce levelmaking times by a good quarter or third.
And to copy and paste something, like tile formations and item formations, in case you need more space between things or want to replicate things within the level, this would avoid time wasted to reconstruction and recreation.
That's just two I can see happening.

I plan to retain a function to place tiles like in the current build - you can just pull a rectangle and it fills it with tiles. That good?

Will note this and do that some day, when it's remotely useable :p

Makes me think of Advance Wars: Dual Strike. Sounds quite easy to use- I like it!

Wish I knew some AS3 so that I could help out. Ah well, guess you can't have everything.
Anyways, new ideas sound awesome.

-Please include layering options, such as "Send to front"' "Send to back", etc.
-Add the NaN (blue) background as an option.
-Add "No Music" as an option.
-Be able to preview music while designing (like in LL).
-Have the background appear in design mode (like in LL).
That's about it. I'll post more if I think of more.

What I meant was to add layering options for items only, so we don't have to go into the code and change the order of item codes.
