18th Level Designer Contest

MP3 and gentlemen. Welcome. I'm NanTheDark, and I'll be your host.

This isn't just any LDC. In this LDC, we're expecting to see people perform to the fullest of their capacity, and come up with amazing ideas for their levels. All those who place high in this LDC, they will earn more than a medal. They'll earn the respect of the whole LDing community, and the right to be called "Legendary".

The theme of this contest was thought of with that in mind. Without further ado, the theme for this contest is...

That's right. Whatever you create is no longer limited to a particular theme, like Snow, Jungle, Space, or whatever. You can do anything you can think of, in any way possible. And I think that without this limitation, all participants will do the best they can, in whatever way they can.



Teh Rulez

  • We'll accept mini-series, but don't abuse that by making a 5+ part submission or something. Long doesn't mean better.
  • No insults, rudde remarks or profanity of any kind in the level. It must be adequate for all ages.
  • You can't use a level made before the Contest. The level must be made specifically for the Contest.
  • No Collabs. We want to see what each Level Designer is capable of by him/herself.
  • If you want to use a song not contained in the game for your level, give a link to the music along with the post of your level. I recommend Youtuberepeat.com for this.



Judging

Same as always...

10 points - Fun
Is it an awesome level one can have a really good time playing it? Or does it have boring, or overly frustrating parts?

5 points - Graphics
How does the level look? Are there cut-off tiles? Is there something that looks amazing?

5 points - Other
Start with 3 points, and the judges add or take off points based on specific things you loved/hated about the level that aren't covered by the other two.

In this contest, the Judges will be the following:

1. MessengerOfDreams
2. KevinOC
3. Yoshi999
4. Nworlds

(We may need an extra judge, for judging the judges' entries)

If you wanna judge for this, please PM me about it. Judging must be done within a 2-week period. If for whatever reason you can't judge, we may need back-up judges, but if that's the case we'll figure it when it happens. If you're going to drop out, you must have a good reason for that.



Teh Deadline

Well, the deadline... it's gonna be
February 22th.
This may be adjuster further if needed. If you need an extension, ask for it, but you must have good reasons for it to be accepted.

Extensions:
SuperMIC, Feb 25th
MoD, Feb 29th
MP3, Feb 27th
Nan (me! xD), Feb 29th (with MoD's permission)

Ok since everyone seems to be lagging behind, the new and final deadline for everyone will be March 13th. Deal with it.

Exception: Star king. He gets 3 extra days. (March 16th)



As usual, post your levels in our Level Vault. Don't you dare post them here.
