First things first-
[SYSTEM], You're Fired.

And second, welcome to the new official level of the week, ran by myself and my two lovely judges- level pro and much-followed professional Star King, and beloved level moderator and portal maintenance master MP3 Amplifier!
Here's how it works-
Every Saturday at around 10:00am PST we observe the top 25 levels in the portal and pick our top 4 out of the list- not necessarily in order of score, but in order of skill. After some debate we come up with a top 5 list, going from 5th to first by debate and math and stuff. The winner gets... something!

Level of the Week and whatnot.

This week's top 5? Well, let's take a look below.
5. Garden In The Clouds by CryokeneticType: Garden, Sky
Notes: Winner of the 8th LDC (Garden) and 18th on the WITBLOAT list.
Never dulled with age, this level is a fun, simple platformer that has always been a portal favorite since its inception, as well as a critical favorite for its simplicity, speedrun potential and good rocket FLUDD usage.
4. Amusement Park by Yoshi16Type: Amusement Park
Notes: One of the longest reigning levels of all time, this specimen has been listed as an influence on many designers and has more than 1,000 votes from 1,000 different members.
An enduring classic, this one rarely ever, if ever, leaves the top 25 of the portal, and it's easy to see why- many imitators have come along but none can best the classic amusement park- it's impossible to die but it's a fun play regardless.
3. Crescendo Hills by CryokeneticType: Multishine, Plains, Sky
Another recent longtime leader, this one had a streak of 3 straight weeks rarely opposed except for the rare short-reign levels. It's easy to see why- this is one of the rare levels to pull off a fun multiple shine level and keep it fun. Plenty of places to explore, plenty challenges, little lag. What more could you ask for?
2. Roaming Celsius Luminary by MessengerOfDreamsType: Snow, Galaxy, Silver Star, Exploration
Notes: No, this not a result of me bias. I rated two levels above this one when we broke down to our top five- the other judges rated it higher. Also, this level was in the 25 when we observed but has been downrated again- it has a reputation of being voted up, down and up again so it'll be back in soon. Otherwise, this level was a silver medalist in the 17th LDC, tied with a SuperMIC/MP3 Amplifier collaboration.
It's a sizable challenge but a fun, light play with memorable characters and great critical reviews. It also boasts a solid story, appreciated by its reviewers. I'd say more, but this is my level and I don't wanna brag.
1. Goomba Valley by KingType: Jungle, Platformer
Notes: Winner of the 14th LDC, besting 23 other entries.
Sometimes it boils down to a short, simple platformer that's easy to enjoy and doesn't exert your skills to a harsh level. It's heavily decorated and critically acclaimed by a longtime portal favorite, and that's as good as it gets.
Whatcha think guys!
