Why do the songs not play in the level designer?

Is this a problem on my end, or do the song simply not play in the level designer at all?
Dunking frogs since 2011.

If you're talking about the normal songs, your music might be muted for some reason, so you should click pause, options, and mute music. Otherwise something is probably wrong with your computer.

Or he uses the standalone designer. So far I know has this designer no working music themes.
When you mean to hear the music while designing like in Last Legacy. That don't work on sm63.

Yes, I am using the standalone version.
And Yoshi Boo...what do you mean by "normal songs"?

As blackyoshi said, no songs work in the stand alone level designer.
