So Moy suggested Story as a theme, and I more or less attacked him violently with words. Then this happened.
I won't bother too explain to much what's happening with this LDC as Moy explains it fully here. All you need to know is that the LDC is split between two themes and you can only choose one. 'k? Alright.
The theme, the proper true theme for this LDC is one you've been waiting for since it was first suggested on page 2 of the Contest Theme Suggestion topic. It is all about caves. However, the name cave wasn't too interesting so we just renamed it chasm. Yes, they're different things, but for this LD it doesn't really matter. Chasm can also add more variety as it means that you might want an icy cavern, or a fiery chasm. It's your choice.
Oh, you wanted a big reveal with the theme in large friendly letters. That's coming up....

The Rules:
- You can make Level Series for this contest, but bare in mind that this may hinder your score. The average of each one will determine your overall score.
- Your level must fit the theme
- No insults or profanity in the level.
- You must post a level created specifically for this contest. You cannot post an older level.
- You may team up with another user, and do a collaborative level. Just don't do one because you are allowed to.
- I would also ask that you do not include over the top stories for this theme as that's already covered by the other half. A typical Mario like story overview should suffice.
How they will be judged:
10 points: Fun
Did you enjoy the level? Are there some parts that are frustrating, or annoying?
5 points: Graphics
Does the level have cutoff? Does it work well with the theme? Does it look good in general? Are there tileset clashes (in theme, general and if they change through transitions). Is there decoration? Does the decoration fit, or is it just piled on one another/ excessively used where it just looks bad?
5 points: Other
You start off with 3 points. Judges will decide whether to take off or add on points based upon how deserving the level is. This could include secrets, lag, loading times(though that can also be featured in fun), bugs or generally awesome things.

Extensions:
Moy - 1 week
Deadline:
October 7th
While this theme is much simpler to do than the other one, it would be confusing to have two separate deadlines.
