Hey, don't mind me showing up late but...

Here is the version of sm63 with the HUD coins, silver stars, red coins and framerate removed.

You can also press "H" in-game to hide the HUD entirely (or what's left: The life meter, subtitles, signs, ect...)

I've experimented with ways to record and I've found fraps works really well even with sound. Also make sure you record with the music muted because it is much easier to add in the music at the end.

This question could be off topic, but I'm curious:

That version of Super Mario 63... I haven't yet tried using it, but could it be used just for fun or something? Like, to take full screenshots without those things getting in the way, or to make gameplay more "realistic?"
...Or is that version of the game exclusive to video recording?

It's just a copy of the game with the HUD removed. And because of that screenshots should be a lot easier to take as well as videos.

For the sake of consistency, I'll be using the regular version, two thirds of the videos use that version anyway.
