Re: Public Discussion of the Newfound Opinion on LDC's
Me taking an extension normally always means I ♥♥♥♥ something up. Thus means. Losing my progress due stupidity, getting into arguments in RL, my level would get disqualified so I need a bit more time to make a new one from scratch in a ridiculous amount of time. Caugh Underwhere Caugh. Other than that quite serious troubles or discussions several people could easily confirm if needed. I know I probably count to the people who should go away and don't even try to do LDing stuff. But if I would just go, I know at the same time that the more it happens the less possible is me getting back into it.
About some of the endless long posts above. It's true that I designed some time before I came to runouw. About three years.
Yeah... That's embarrassing to see the results after this amount of time. I know for sure by experience with other people and on my own, that people who don't give up easily and continue trying to get better will always go far. May it be LDing, art, stories, or RL stuff. It's always that way. Some things are ''worth'' to keep improving on them. Some are not. Of course also that changes a lot from person to person.
As far as I've seen, people like Triple J (best example I could think of right now.) with loads... I mean really loads of patience and a good amount of skilI. can easily see him taking the place of one of the legends not too far in the future. That also counts for 1018peter or how the number was. Or Su Yo if he keeps trying and does those things more frequently. I know about all three of them that they have easily potencial for gold in a LDC one day if they don't give up.
Some smaller but important note. Should someone of you get ever into a situation where a better designer wants to teach you, or teaches you already things. Then take that chance if you want to get far. I know by experience that exact those situations end with beating the designer you learned from. (Except Pierre. He is probably the only exception I know.) +ending as a legend on one or multiple sites. That happened at least to Runner, DT and maybe me in the future. (It's at least a goal I'm aiming for.)
I'm aware my grammar above sucks, it's awfully hard to understand me and nobody will bother reading that. But that was going through my mind right now. So don't hurt me. :3
