uh... i can't sleep today so i'm typing this in the middle of the night, so i am sorry if what i type now seems lazy, weird, misspell't and all that... (40 hours...)

Firstly... Everyone who played my level ~

A big whopping Thank you to you all...

*Sigh* Honestly i do not know if i really deserve the gold medal...

Why?

Because.. i think others did such a great job.. and heck if you ask me.. i love the levels and not to mention the theme...
Urk.. i didn't know people even expected me to win or anything - but i'm happy you did even tho' i might be a new face to you all...

I am an old member who constantly keeps reappearing and so on like the magician i am (but not really).
And well to you who might wonder...

Yes this "Story" was actually inspired from the experience of my life lately and it's been...

Weird...

I don't think i'll enter a contest ever again, because i know there are people out there that can whop my @ss pretty bad.
Lets face it, i'm old and not really original. What saved me was the story - and i'm happy that the Story at least was actually taken in a serious way for once.
I knew i did the right choice to put it up here, i miss the feedback...
The people around me...

And for the gold medal.. i don't know what i will do from now on, i'm so confused..
How did i even win.

Argh never-mind i'll think about it when i can think properly again.

I know i've said this quite some times but, i am really happy you guys put a liking in it, and i'm even happy to see that some of you actually thought i was going to win or even hoped it.
I don't know, it's just touching.. (yeah i know it sounds really g@y but it's true)

Also thanks mod for that little "Ayra" flag... it was cute, i didn't even know those exist.

Anyways uh i just wanted to say that...

Well...

Thank you all.

And if you ever have any questions about life and it's random moments or stuff..
do not hesitate to pm me, because i will gladly answer them..

Oh and one last thing..

I love you all in some sort of weird way... uhh and pies are tasty don't hesitate to throw some around because i'll be ready to catch 'em.
Not to mention pineapples and strawberries, pringles and candy, twix and lion, kit-kat and snickers...
Yes yes yes i love this...
i'm spacing out again aren't i...

Hehe it's cool broos i'm not even tired..
after all, we are all humans who love candy or cake...

Just you all remember that.. being random and stuff... is the way to ilve life... because.. #Yolo #swag...

Now i'll try to sleep, cross your fingers for it...

Also one last thing...

Thanks, thanks, thank you, thaanks, thank you aaall, i can't thank you enough, i hope this message is enough for you all to understand what i'm trying to say because i can't express myself
very good in posts...

Whatever... goodnight and take care for now..

*Hugs Ayrayen.* :D

If you guys want a group hug, your choice.

Other than posting his LDC entry and that suicide topic, I never saw this guy for a long time.

I'm guessing you missed the detailed judges' comments posted by Yoshi Boo on the top of page 33. Look in the spoiler tags and scroll down to find your level's review by each judge. If you saw those comments but are still uncertain as to how to improve your level, let us know.

That's exaclty my problem

Okay, well, my criticisms primarily had to do with the lack of creativity in your level, both in terms of the player challenges and the visual feel. Did you play through the top three levels (Ayrayen, Amp, and Killswitch)? If you haven't, I'd recommend doing so, paying attention both to the types of inventive challenges that they all employ as well as the unique visual design. I think the best way to improve one's own levels is to draw inspiration from others, so that's where I'd start.

I think MOD's point is that if the contest starts in August, people can submit their entries before school starts. He doesn't care if the judging takes place in September or October; he just wants people to have the chance to enter before summer ends.

That is, if I can improve at all, which the chances are very slim if someone that I've never seen before can win first try...
EDIT: And my computer sucks enough that it won't play the level..

If you're playing Ayrayen's, be sure to give it a while to load…it can take a minute or more depending on the part and click "no" if it asks you if you want to stop due to flash not responding. If not, try Amp's…it's a relatively small level so it may work more easily. Also Ayrayen is not new and this is not his first contest, he just vanished for a few years and recently returned to the forums. He entered the 4th LDC and has made many, many levels in the past (see his Bongo level series if you don't believe me). So believe me, you don't get that good on your first go. Like all of us, he had to work at it. So don't feel discouraged…if you're committed to becoming a better designer and continue to put out levels while also playing others to help develop your own style, you can become very good too.

Not having played your previous levels I can't say for sure, but I tend to doubt that you're seriously getting worse. It's possible you've had stronger levels in the past, but that doesn't mean you're worsening as a designer. You just may have been temporarily short on inspiration, something which I again think playing other levels may help remedy. I certainly made levels while a designer that I felt were not as good as past efforts, but then would try to use the lackings of my most recent effort to help me figure out how to improve. And as cliché as this sounds…if you don't think you can improve then you probably won't.
