Sub/title explains it.

Things that affect the way I design a level include:

  • The song(s) I'm listening to.
  • The weather.
  • The place/house/room I'm in.
  • My mood.
  • What happened before I designed the level.
  • The time of day.
  • Any other activities I may be doing around the same time.
  • My energy level.

Depends on my creativity levels.

I don't actually make my levels on the spot because I don't get enough time on the laptop to be able to do that- instead I draw my levels out in boxes and annotate them so I don't forget what I'm doing, but it means I can get my ideas down on paper before I forget them in my most imaginative moods.

That's usually before I sleep or if I've woken up from a dream. Thanks to the late evening planning, I managed to do things like water reflection in Blind Experiment, evil honey queen in Border Lands, the car chase/motorway in TP and the sinking soul in Antichesm.

Motivation.

If I care and want to make something incredible, I do. If it's for the sake of a contest and nothing more, it's going to be substandard.

But of course there's different styles of incredible things, and some designers suit certain styles better than others, so that's why I've been so lazy when it comes to SM63.

I never finish levels

I have no sources of motivation

I literally just start making a level and then never return to it aagain

Recently, I have been getting infected by the disease of motivation loss...

It feels weird not to be willing to make levels. :o_O:

My extreme low and high moods are getting in the way of level designing, it seems.

But tbh it doesn't help that the LDCs haven't been here at all these past few months.

The thing that affects:

    * Motivation.
    * The song/music I'm listening to.
    * Something that I remember when I'm creating the level.
    * The reason I'm creating it.
    * My energy level.
    * If it's an LDC,the theme.
