So, I've been planning a quote-unquote Let's Play of Super Mario 63 levels for awhile, and coming up soon I'll have a new computer. I'm gonna buy all the recording fixings in order to operate a video/audio recording of me playing SM63 and see if I can make it work. However, it's not gonna be a straightforward LP. Within it, I'm actually going to discuss the history of the 50 most Historic Levels of All Time, which would presumably span around 25 episodes if it comes to fruition. This, I believe, would be a good way to document the history of SM63 from the Aspie who knows it all, while still getting me comfortable with playing/recording myself and games. Since it's more or less a private project, as we're probably the only ones truly interested in that, it'd be a good sandbox.
So, first off- what do I need and what should I use to set up a proper, effective recording?
Second off, here's my current list of 15, stretching through all five years of designing, including the last half of 2009 and the first half of 2013. This is in more or less chronological order, although it might be slightly rearranged during the series. Where could it be edited or changed? What should be added or subtracted?

Bandicam for recording video and Audacity for audio. And Id record you irl sparatel feom the PC if thats your plan....helps cut back on processsing and saves you lag heartbreak.
Bandicam isnt free, bu you can either get the keygen or buy it. Audacity is free.

He means Bandicam's the best option for recording, but there's a chance you'd pay for a good version, and Audacity is great for the audio part. I do agree there.
I personally use Screencast-O-Matic. It took me ages to find a decent screen recorder, this one was free, simple to use and most of the time it records very very smoothly. I think it jumped a few seconds in one of my WITBLO videos but that's about it. It also lets you record audio on it too if you wanted to commentate at the same time as playing them.
But yeah, sounds like a nice project. Have fun with it!
