Okay, so here's how I'd like to do it.

Usually in any given WITBLO, we have 4-6 judges. These 4-6 judges rank all the levels from first to last. Then, the judges get together and use them as guidelines to debate and rank the levels officially, rather than just combining lists.

There are two ways we can go about it this time that involve the public. The public can all send in lists of the levels, or they can help us debate the levels. The former is less messy but requires people to understand all of the levels, and the latter is a little less defined but is less effort for the public.

Let me know what y'all think about it, and definitely let's get more people involved than the seven who decided the WITBLO14 entrants

Well, probably the lists won't all contain the same levels. We should start like we used to, i.e. the public makes nominations and you put them all together to an unordered list. Then the public can tell how they like to order it.

I think the former is better. We might as well see how dedicated the public is.

ANYONE WHO IS INTERESTED, SEND IN YOUR LISTS RANKING ALL THE LEVELS FROM LAST TO FIRST. Please don't rank your own and please give a line of reasoning at least per level. I'm trusting you all played all the levels before sending them in, or at least a decent chunk of them.

I'll wait for some people to respond, then I'll start scouting.

Does this include the levels from July 2009 to August 2014, as we recently had a poll for the six WITBLOAT entrants of 2013/2014? I'm sort of confused, as the entrants from 2009 till 2013 are simply the highest in their WITBLO's, in the exact same order (which is the logical thing of course). So if the WITBLOAT14 list is based on the WITBLO14 list, that poll was sort of useless...

There is a list of 50 levels on the first page

Making an order of 50 levels is hard enough, and giving a reason as to why one level is higher than another is even harder. Especially because the best of the best levels are very close to each other, there's absolutely no clear winner. No provocations or personal attacks whatsoever, I just feel like you're demanding too much from us.

I try to make on order, but I surely won't do it with reasons.

Well I'm damned no matter what

If I do it this way then people say its too hard

If I do it your way people can rig the lists to better the placements of their levels and I can't call them on it

If I don't have public participation people say its unfair that they didn't get a part.

I honestly wonder about the general sense of it. Aren't the annual WITBLO's enough? Do we really need to know which levels are the third best, second best and absolutely best of all? Can this really be decided? I have no level, so I also have no reason to rig, but if I make a list, it's my personal opinion. If you get many, many lists from many designers and average them out, the overall result represents the will of the general public, even without any reasons. That's the only way to get a reasonable WITBLOAT IMO.

No matter what, I'll need some time.

Maybe you should organise it the same way the WITBLOs have always been organised. People may complain they didn't get a part, but it's always been this way, and if they want a part of it then they can PM you and ask.
