WITBLO14 and WITBLOAT 2014 Entrants Topic

So yeah. May as well get started on 14 while we can.

How this year will work:

We'll need 6 levels from the beginning of 2014 through the end of August 2014 for the 5-year-anniversary WITBLOAT. These six levels will be gathered with the rest of WITBLO14. WITBLO14 will be a separate entity, and of the ones that fit in the 5-year anniversary, six will be voted in by the public.

I'll be scouting for levels but I'd also like you all to help me with this year more than ever. You'll be voting the six in from the public, after all.

To vote in the poll, you need to rank each of these levels from 1-10. I'll be able to get each result separately so if you send all 1s except for yours, it won't count. The highest six scores will move on. If you didn't play a level, please select N/A. If you give a 1-5 to any level, please explain why in the comments or it won't count.

This is the fairest way I could imagine doing this. If you give an N/A vote, your score for that level will not exist. If there are 15 vote submissions and a level gets 3 N/As, then the score will be averaged out of 12.

I recommend playing all levels before you vote, as a courtesy to the contestants.

Why not allow any levels from the whole of 2014 into WITBLOAT though? There's a chance we could get in one or even two more LDCs before the end of this year, so many awesome levels could flood in.

The point is that WITBLOAT is for the five years between approximately August 2009-August 2014, so more of a WITBLOTL5Y or something. Point is that it's the 5-year capper. If we don't get five more years, down the road we can edit whatever's left into WITBLOAT

plus I don't wanna do two huge WITBLOAT projects at the same time.

Ohh, of course I forget that WITBLO09 didn't exist for the whole year. This makes much more sense to me now.

Now that the 27th Level Disappointmyself Contest is over, I think it's time to start getting levels together for the 6 to include for the WITBLOAT, and a WITBLO cast overall.

If I need to, I'll gather levels, but I'm actually asking for public participation and would appreciate it.

Well, I have some suggestions:

• Hell's Rebelion, pretty much because it won the 26th LDC.
• Vengeance, because it was really unique.
• Neon City, because it's the top level from the portal, and it's awesome overall.
• Freezestone, not because it's mine, but because it won the 27th LDC.
• Echoes of Time, because it was my favorite level from the 27th LDC, and the best storytelling level 2014 has as of currently.

I'm not going to fight Hell's Rebellion being entered, as it did win. Whether or not Water Butterfly is entered, I don't care. I have other plans for level designing so I will not end my luck there.
