Republic's Logical Forest got also into WITBLO11 as a glitch showcase.

Look, I understand you believe in your levels and that's fine, that's not what the problem is. But MoD has already announced the list, just come to accept it, that would be an admirable quality.

I remember once upon a time looking at the site thinking "man, all these people are so cripplingly self-conscious. I wish we could see someone with some confidence for some change."

Clearly I should be careful what I wish for because you've got enough ego to give everyone who can't stand their work here enough of it to be at least somewhat confident and still have too much.

You are lucky to have had two levels in. If this was a cult of personality thing and not based solely off of level skill I'd have neither of your levels in just because of the horrendously entitled attitude you have about your levels and how haughty you are about other peoples' levels. I honestly am disgusted that you have two levels in, TWO OUT OF TWENTY, which not even I have, and you are pressuring me to take out other peoples' levels, those who only have one, because you deserve to have more than everyone else. I took out Volkove's only level to make room for your level in the first place so be grateful for that.

Please. I'm already willing to compromise on simply replacing a level of mine, so I still have two levels in, without hurting everyone else's. And you call me haughty about other people's levels? Go to my profile and see that I have given 55 one-star ratings (to truly poor levels), but 105 5-star ratings (to levels which are successful and deserve that).

If it was on me to run WITBLO14, I'd simply extend the list to, let's say, 25 levels.

And no, unlike the last time where I've got banned (lol, what the hell came over me that time?), this time it's definitely not me causing the disturbance. In fact, I'm unamused about being forced to make this reply because a lot of things has to be clarified. I simply mention a level of mine, assuming you would have overlooked it, not meaning anything bad or rude, and I get a very rude reply saying "Quit your ♥♥♥♥♥".

And, at last, before anyone makes a blunt post saying "that's rude" etc., let me quote:

Well, actually Shroom, I think one of the reasons your level was not allowed in was because it wasn't actually better than Tall Tree or Futuristic Dream. It lags a lot, it is really frustating, and has a pretty high loading time as well. Put all these together in a level and you have something, well, not fun. It has some nice tile/decoration combinations, but was really, really frustating.

And as to yourself being rude and downgrading others' works, I think he was refering to this.

Shroom, I think a huge part of people being rude with you now is pretty much what MoD said. He may even have said it in a kinda rude manner, but the fact you have way more self-confidence than almost everyone here annoys a lot of people. I mean, sorry Shroom, but you promote your work a bit too much sometimes.

If I were you, I'd simply try to stop promoting yourself so much and accept the fact MoD won't allow this level on this WITBLO. Ok, it's really good that you like your own level, but it's this kind of self promoting behavior that will make other people pissed, especially here on Runouw.

You alone do not choose what goes into WITBLO. Public opinion does.

People would not be rude to you if you didn't tread on their feelings or display an extreme amount of self confidence, way above what's considered the norm. It's good to love your work and your levels but there reaches a point where it just becomes destructive to everyone around you in the same way that extremely low confidence becomes destructive. I get it- you're a blunt person, and it's okay to be blunt, just as long as you are blunt in a respectful way and in a community of people you are naturally going to have to learn to consider people's feelings before saying some of the things you do.

Soon enough we might reach a point of no return where people just hold grudges and I don't want that to happen. At this moment in time I'm pretty sure anyone will be happy to forgive and forget this whole recent argumentative spurt of designing and go back to normality, just as long as we all make some compromises. That means Shroom should make sure not to hurt people's feelings and just avoid anything like comparing your levels to recent levels or other designers that could easily cause confrontation, and others need to just move on and ignore anything that may have a passive aggressive edge because everyone is different, what is 'passive aggressive' to one person may actually just be a genuine comment to another. Unless there is a direct flaming and insulting, I would say avoid responding with anything negative at all.

(I personally believe in walking away from conflict as it's the honestly the strongest and hardest thing to do and therefore it makes you the bigger person)

Okay, okay. Please don't mix up lecturing with saying my honest opinion and selling it as my opinion. I don't make any decisions. I don't lecture because there's a rule stating not to lecture. But if I don't have the right to express my honest opinion, well then... welcome back to old Soviet times.

I guess the best right now is to let me do my edits until they're done, then we can talk again. I'll really try to make it less frustrating. It's strange, I didn't have many problems every time when playtesting, but now it appears to me much harder than ever... long story short, I try as much as possible. If it's still insufficient then, I can't do anything further.
