In all due respect, however, Yoshi can be added to the LD, because he plays a part towards the end in a cutscene and is found in the code. Likewise, the Blarggs from Yoshi's Island are in the images.

One thing me and Ven both agreed on is that there should be undersides for sand tiles.

I would agree, but sand is one of those tiles that isn't supposed to be able to balance by itself upside down. Even if there were undersides added, I still think it would look a lot better to have a desert brick or something supporting the sand.

Maybe sandstone? I could probably play with the hues a bit and see what it'd look like.

In the code of Pokemon Colosseum there were references to Shadow Kecleon and Shadow Minun, yet they were never fully implemented. Just because it's found somewhere in the code doesn't mean it's finalized.

I still hope for more of those solid tiles combined with wall tiles. But let's not get off-topic.

I don't think there's anymore possible new enemies, unless you want to have meteors.

Lawl we've come from a simple question about new enemies to another todo list for an update to the level designer

I'm honestly torn because on one side new things are cool and stuff but on the other side SM63 is still SM63 and not SMW or such. Having Yoshi in it would already highly exceed the limits defined with the word "SM63".

Tbh fixing bugs (such as the eraser tool ♥♥♥♥ up the layering) and better controls (disable by button, undo etc.) would be a higher priority if it ever comes to this.

Rating standards: show
1 star: (0 - 5.75 in LDC) These levels need a lot of work. They're totally un-elaborated, and/or inherently flawed due to things like cutoff or enemy spam, or they're untested and there are too many bugs gameplay-wise, in short: Many many things went wrong in such a level.

2 stars: (6 - 9.75) These levels are not terrible, but poor. They're too short, lack scenery or they have errors and/or bugs but it's still barely enjoyable. Again, spend more effort and try to do better. (if it's your first level that I rate two stars, it's not bad. There's a long way you can still go)

3 stars: (10 - 12.75) These levels are about mediocre. They may be still a little bit short, the gameplay is fine but not very original and graphics are also solid, but not breath-taking. Try to keep improving!

4 stars: (13 - 15) These levels are nice, but not the best. Effort has been put into them, there can some professionality be seen in gameplay and graphics, they're a nice experience to play, but there are still things you can do to make it even better. Try to go the extra mile!

5 stars: (15.25 - 20) These are really great levels, those which, as said, I would give more than 15 in an LDC. These suffice many high requirements, and it already goes into subtleties if you want to make them better. These levels are successful all around. Bravo.

These are just general principles I try to follow when rating. Sometimes I don't leave a further comment when rating, most times I do, if you have questions about it, feel free to ask further.

The only bug I care about is the one that happens when you load a level into the designer, and all these glitched blocks and NaN values come up.

Seriously, why hasn't anyone coded a playable Yoshi character?

I mean come on! People, it's Yoshi's Island tiles! There must be a yoshi in the near future.
Make it happen!

The designer is based on the main game. Whatever's not in the main game,it won't be in the designer neither.
