We've got quite some tricks for that:

large 180-speed flipping platform - "quicksand" (pulls you down and deals 2 damages)
very quick, short-lasting, down-facing green platforms - "harmless quicksand" (pulls you down without damage) - speaking of Harmless, he shows it off here
flipping platform with "NaN" as speed - "lethal pitch" (freezes you forever until exiting)

If you're lazy and don't want to mess with glitches, you can just add super-thin Flame Towers.
