Suyo, Nik, Four............would this work for a series?

Postby Kimonio » May 1st, 2010, 1:50 pm

I was playing a few games and found that they had level designers.

So an idea sprung up. What if I made a series and make levels with those designers, putting the codes into one series, and linking to the games so that people would know what went where?

The format would somewhat be the same, but at the top, you would list the games you used to make the levels and you would use underlining/bolding/italizing/etc to signify what level code was for what game.

So in other words, a series that was a mix of SM63 and other designer levels would be one series. Would that be all right to be posted in Level Series? If not, where would it go?

It was just an idea, so I am still thinking it out.

I guess it could go in either Level Series, or gaming.. or flash player showcase since they all relate to what you are doing.

Hm, you know, that's actually an interesting idea! I think it's fine if you just post it in the level series subforum for now, since you're the only one doing it, but if this idea becomes popular...we'll figure something out if that happens.

Actually, I'm not sure that would work. The only other level designer I know of is Super Mario Flash, and that's a totally different code system.

The format would somewhat be the same, but at the top, you would list the games you used to make the levels and you would use underlining/bolding/italizing/etc to signify what level code was for what game.

We won't use just SM63 for the series, Galaxy.

Hey, I found this pretty cool level designer, it's called Everybody Edits. You are in control of the amount of people who get to edit your level, and while it's not the most interface-friendly level designer out there, it can be pretty versatile. Just saying, since you want to do this.

You should check it out, nonetheless.
Signatures are silly little things.

With that in mind, check out my clever, well-thought, and generally amazing level series!

People, I put it in words you could easily understand, and you don't get that the plan is to use ANY designer.

And I'll check it out, Zeb. ;)
